I don't think there have been many single instances up there that should warrant expulsion or dismissal from the team. What I dont get is this:
Extreme lack of disciplinary consistency:
=====================================
1. They have to clean the stadium but only for 3 games?
2. Dropping the hammer on Austin Scott when there were just allegations, whenever they turned out to be false.
3. How have Chris Bell and Knowledge Timmons been slipped under everyone's radar and are back on the football team? No one even knew they were coming back. You know when I found out? When Chris Bell made a tackle against Coastal Carolina. How does this go unnoticed?
4. Andrew Quarless is given 80 chances but Kanuch makes prank calls or whatever and gets kicked off the team.
And before we all rally around Tom Bradley and Larry Johnson, realize which side of the ball the majority of these problems are on. It's the defense. And on top of that, before you raise the "Bradley for Coach" banners, keep in mind how Bradley refuses to blitz those linebackers, teaches kids to tackle high, and plays his CB's with 15 yd cushions. Tom Bradley is extremely conservative. He does a very good job, but he doesn't do an excellent job. I'm sorry if I just ruined everyone's future.

TAE. I almost totally agree with your last post. That was not a typical psu fan's response, which I thought was classy. I do disagree with your 1st sentence though. Any time illegal activity is going on they should get the boot.
Good post.
I know ham I didn't include the rest of the nation and u will say, well they haven't been convicted, etc., etc., but u will just have to get over it.

I can't argue with u about the DCJ, Titan, and anyone who does is very blind. Shocker hasn't been around long to know yet that I've had nothing but critical opinions of paterno since 1999. Yes I like him as a human being, but he makes inconsistent choices when kids get nailed for stuff. He has painted himself into this corner, and I'm not sure what the school can even do about it. I admittedly do not understand how its gotten so bad so fast. But they have not targeted bad kids. None of them had questionable or shady backgrounds. I'm not sure how you rectify it after you have precendence. Regardless of the crime you have to be fair about it. And I guess these kids need a chaperone at all times. It doesn't even make any sense how abe koroma waited and waited behind kids who were better than him, finally gets his shot, and blows it in 6 days. I mean, rationalize that.

TAE, your last post made a lot of sense. Actually, when I can read between the lines and sift through your sarcasm, you're a pretty knowledgeable football guy.
However, I disagree with one point: I think Paterno is not a very good human being at all. He is dishonest, unfair, elusive, cantankerous, and a poor communicator. Ask many of his players, as well as some members of the media and I think they would agree. He appeared "charming" for years to the media, public, players, fans, and others, but now that he has been exposed for what he is over the past decade or so (A sanctimonious, double talking PHONY), his true colors have been revealed.
Ask youself this question: Would you want your daughter bringing home someone with the character (let alone the looks) of JoePa? OH wait, you probably would just so you could get free sideline passes to every game...

Re: If God isn't a State Penn fan, then why is marijuana gre
I appreciate the compliments, titan, you know I have a lot of respect for you even though we've had some epic disagreements.
Well, I hope you are wrong about his true colors, but just YESTERDAY my boss at work told me that he met a psu qb that played in the 70's. He didn't remember his name. That guy basically echoed your sentiments. As have many other former players.
You wanna hear a good one? I was gonna post this as a new thread but I forgot to bookmark the article and now I can't find it. However, PSU offered a scholly to a 3-star DE in Maryland named Jason Ankrah. Last week, Ankrah called the staff and gave them his verbal. They told him, after offering him a scholarship, that "there's other kids we are looking at ahead of you". Ankrah was justifiably furious. I did a little investigating, and in my opinion, the "other players" was 5-star DE Anthony Lalota from NJ who was ready to decide and was supposedly down to PSU and Michigan.PSU got real high on Lalota over the past month. Well, guess what? Lalota is a Wolverine, and we are left holding the bag.
Jason Ankrah, a 3-star prospect, is getting rave reviews. He will be a 4-star player by December. Here's the real kicker: Ankrah is teammates with 4-star CB Travis Hawkins, whom PSU really likes. Ankrah and Hawkins are taking their visits together, and in my opinion (once again) I feel that they are planning on going to the same school. Now, we are all pretty smart guys except for Hollywood. What do you think are the chances Penn State has with Hawkins, OR Ankrah now that Lalota is committed to Michigan?
It is a travesty that schools are allowed to throw out blanket scholarship offers like this and then do what Penn State did to Ankrah. I'm not bringing up UT just to get under Deliverance's skin, but Texas pulls the same crap. "We don't want you anymore." I can't believe that this isn't already prohibited!
The way PSU recruits baffles the hell out of me, and I do not understand how kids slip under the radar from central PA. Do they pull names out of hats and recruit those kids, or what? How does Gary Gilliam, a 6'6" TE from HERSHEY go so long without Penn State showing interest?! He's huge and fast! Malik Gennerett, I think he is 6'5" 200, fast, WR from YORK gets nothing from Penn State, who needs receivers, and commits to UCONN. Jeremiah Young,) from Highspire, whom I have seen play, short kid, runs like an absolute beast. No PSU interest. You figure it out, because I sure can't.

TAE, when has Texas done this? I am not saying they haven't, but I can't think of any players that they have done this to.
