Re: Central dominant in the D6AA final
The only thing I saw that wasn't good was when Central was up 34-0 in the 4th and it was 4th and 9 and they went for it. That showed absolutely no class at all from their head coach, the game was over, there is no need to run up the score. I question that call whether that was uncalled for or not.
But when the game was 7-0 with 6:00 to go in the 2nd quarter, CC linebacker Tyler Davidson (12) was injured and out for the rest of the game. From the looks of it CC went downhill from there and didn't even seem to have a pulse out there with their defense of leader. It made a huge impact on the game.
Congrats to Central on a big win and Runk ran pretty dang good. Good luck next week.

Re: Central dominant in the D6AA final
Nobody wants to hear people being ticked off about going for it on the 4th and 9 play. Central deserves to be able to run up the score on anyone, espcially a team like CC who along with many teams, ran the score up on Central the past 10 years. If I woulda been AJ, I would have tried to score 100 points, just to get back at all the teams that did it to us. Central deserved a win like this, for all the hard work they have been putting in. Congrats to the whole school and community. I was one of the non believers at the beginning of the season as well, but they proved everyone wrong. It feels so good to be part of the rebuilding process and it meant alot to see these coaches and players hold up that district 6 hardware!!! GO DRAGONS!!!

Re: Central dominant in the D6AA final
First i would like to say congratulations to Central for pounding CC in the district championship. It meant a lot to their players, coaches, and community. Central deserves all the credit in the world for shutting down a great CC offense and holding O Saben under 100 yards. Runk is an animal and everyone contributed in their own way.
Next, i dont want to hear people talking about Central running up the score and going for it on 4th and 7 actually. I mean what else were they supposed to do. They were on Central Cambrias 12 yard line. You cant punt it and you dont just take a knee and hand it to the other team. They had to go for it. People came to see what both teams had and Central was just showcasing all of the talent nobody knew about and were underestimated all season even throughout the playoffs. Central should be proud of what they accomplished since there are only 8 teams left in the state after this weekend in AA.
Congrats Central and good luck the rest of the way!!

What were they supposed to do, give it to them?

AJ would go for it again, and again, and again. And the funny thing is, with this team, they would probably convert....Again. Way to give the fans a show!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Central dominant in the D6AA final
kolgate kid,
tyler davidsons injury was meaning less. CC was already being dominated on both sides of the ball, his being in the game or on the sideline was off little matter.
Calling out AJ for going for it??
How about your douchebag coach giving him the finger from across the field? That is pure class.

If your going to talk like that, no way should you have any say on how much (or little) class a coach has...youngbuck wrote:How about your douchebag coach giving him the finger from across the field? That is pure class.
