Re: Draft Experts UNITE.
Ever wonder why the 3 best QBs are staying for another year of college? Because they dont want to be with the Detroit Lions.

TAE, I don't think Dallas has a first round pick. I think they traded that to the Lions for Roy Williams.

I agree with TAE on Dallas, try to trade Owens and pick a WR. Even if you just release him you should free up cap room for free agents. I wouldn't want to see them draft a QB in the first round, but if a decent is available in the 2nd or 3rd round, go for it. They need a good backup and Romo needs to be pushed. He seems to be complacent as well and needs some competition.
If I were Detroit, I would trade the number 1 pick for a lower number 1 and a 2nd rounder if I could get it. I would never draft a QB with the first pick overall. First, there is no guarantee a highly drafted QB will be a star and second, a good QB does you no good if your OL sucks (ask David Carr). I think the Lions would do well to gather as many picks as they can and build from there. One great player isn't going to make them a contender. It's been proven you can succeed in the league without a great quarterback if the rest of your team is solid. Dallas built one of the best teams in the NFL following their 1-15 record by stockpiling draft picks(thanks to Herschel Walker) and signing free agents.

Deliverance is right about that pick, I forgot. So do they still have the pick for Pacman in that weird Tennessee deal?
