So Sheard planned to miss the window with the kid but he hit it? I'm confused. Nice spin, though. Comical. "Planned" and "Unfortunate" Very objective dummy.

Are you saying that as Sheard and the other guy were fighting, Sheard stopped, looked around, thought about trying to push the other guy through the window, and then carried it out as a plan? You actually DON'T know what you are talking about, do you. Again, in the heat of battle, anything can happen. But it does take some effort to look up someone's phone number, dial that number, and then threaten the person when he answers. That, my friend, takes planning.

So are you saying that Prank calling someone because it was planned is worse than throwing someone through a glass window. You're something else. Take off the Pitt glasses once will ya?

I say make him run some extra gassers after the first practice in pads, and send him up to State College the Sunday morning after the YSU game and make him help Curtis Drake clean The Erector Set, that's only if Joe administers any discipline at all to Drake. After all, Drake did get a summary disorderly conduct this summer, just like Sherard. BTW, did Joe suspend him immediately?

A PRANK phone call is asking someone if their refrigerator is running. THREATENING someone over the phone isn't a prank, it's a crime. And if two guys are involved in a "spur of the moment" fist fight and one ends up being tossed threw a window, well that's the way it goes. Again, it's like murder in the 1st degree, which is DIFFERENT than manslaughter. One is planned, one isn't. One carries a more serious penalty, even though someone ends up dead in both cases. That's just the way it is.

If Sheard was a starter at PSU and got off this light, you guys would be livid.

Wait, let me backtrack... if Sheard was at Penn State he'd be carrying Crawford's pads to and from the practice field every day.

Exactly. Pitt fans would be fuming right now if this was a Penn State player. 93.7 in Pittsburgh has been such great entertainment. Not one Pitt fan has thought there should be a suspension. It's kind of funny. I guarantee you if roles are reversed and it's a PSU player the calls are much different.

If there's one thing I respect more than anything about sports, it's fans who can look at things objectively and not just from their teams perspective. Any time a Penn State player has done wrong I think they should be punished. Whether than have been I have no control over. I'm not going to sit and makes excuses for a kid that i don't even know. The Pitt fans on his board would have earned a lot more respect if they would have calld for a suspension after all these years of calling out Penn State when they haven't.

So if Sheard was at PSU he would be carrying Crawfords pads to practice every day???? In that case, due to Paterno's depth chart justice, Sheard would be kicked off the team. After all, he wouldn't be a starter then, so he wouldn't be important. Starters are the one's who get off light at PSU, not the others.

I'd kick him off the team just for considering Pitt during his recruiting.
