This Johnstown team has two athletic kids down low in Haselrig and Williams, but Mike Cruz is still a force. I still feel he was a better basketball player then football player. He was wide and knew how to rebound and score. Williams and Hasselrig impress me athletically, but they lack moves to score and they can't shoot. Also Watson is a fast and athletic guard, Varga was way faster and had a better overall understanding of how to run a team, i.e he didn't leave his team to watch cheerleading. This Johnstown team does not have shooters and don't really face much competition. I watched them play a well coached team in York Suburban. They ran all over Johnstown in the 2nd half. Colbough is still a young coach in terms of being the head coach. He may turn into a good one, but as of now Hollern is much much better. Overall Varga and Schrey are still better then Watson and whoever they replace Eddins with. Cruz was a beast down low, and Boyd wasn't too easy to guard either. Still think that team beats them. But O'Connor was a great player for around here, a 6-4 guy that can score anywhere.(dropped 38 on Pope and Baldwin from Aliquippa) Plus Dulla Wadley was a better athlete then any of the current Johnstown players.

And I don't have anything against Johnstown, I still think the team of Weatherly,Wyatt,Christian,Eddins, and Agurs is better. Weatherly is by far the best Jonstown player of the two groups. Plus the Hoffman teams ect. I'm not picking on Johnstown in general, I'm picking on the hype they are gathering for no real reason.

Yes York Suburban ran all over them in the second half. But again, remember most of those players were sophomores. Wait two years and then we will be able to make a better judgement.

As for not liking K. Salem. That quote in the paper the other day is exactly why. Fake punts, fake field goals being up huge. If you wanna make the argument that the players did that on their own, fine.

I'll give you a few examples. I saw BM kick an onsides kick up huge in the second half against Jtwn a few years ago. I also saw BM run a fake punt up huge a few years ago.

Then last year at Trojan Stadium they were up 34-21 with less than one minute left and at the Johnstown 10 yard line. Johnstown had no timeouts. I watched him run two plays and score. Just had to punch that last one in. I watched the same year Johnstown up on Westmont in the same situation and took a knee. This past weekend against Bellefonte Johnstown was taking a knee on the 3 yard line with 245 left!!!! The ball went over on downs, Bellefonte fumbled the snap, Johnstown recovered, and the continued to take a knee until time expired. I guarantee Mr. Salem would not have done that. Listen to the Bellefonte announcers of the game on msasports.net and hear them go on about how classy Johnstown was doing that. McCort has a great program with many great players and even a great coaching stafff. However, classy is something K. Salem is never compared with.

He is just the arrogant, pompous jabronie that gets under my skin. Just my opinion.

Not everyone is big on Salem even at McCort. I think your looking a lot into a little.
