McCort has a good following, better then Carroll. Its not a community atmosphere like you say, but definitely a family atmosphere. Strong bonds at McCort, strong following.

Carroll had a very good number of people checking them out Friday night at PM...They sure sounded like Huskie fans.Crimson09Crazy wrote:McCort has a good following, better then Carroll. Oh yeah they sure did
Re: D 6A Championship Attendance
Here they are. The 11 top reasons why attendance for the BM/BC game will be an all-time low at Mansion Park:
1) McCort's 20 coaches will be on the field, not in the stands.
2) There are only about 100 players on both teams. Add up 2 parents for each kid, some step-parents, some siblings, a girlfriend, a few grandparents and you got a solid base attendance of only about 350 fans.
3) Band members of both teams will bring in another 20 fans.
4) The Best of Lawrence Welk will be on PBS around 8 PM that evening, eliminating potential fans over 50 years of age from attending the game.
5) Fans who usually attend Saturday Night Mass will not plan to attend the game, just in case the church services run late. NO ONE wants to get up early Sunday morning for church.
6) Parents of kids who attend BM from Westmoreland and Somerset Counties think that it's too far to drive. And, after paying over $5,000 in tuition this year, the average fans really can't afford the trip to Altoona and a couple of $6 tickets.
7) BM and BC Penn State fans who happen to attend the Penn State/Michigan State game at noon Saturday will be too sad and too frozen to attend another game later that same day after they exit Beaver Stadium.
8) The Notre Dame/USC game will be televised Saturday night. Catholics show more loyalty to the Fighting Irish than to their local schools.
9) The local communities of BM and BC will be excited.........Wait a minute??? BM and BC HAVE no local communities.
10) The Whether. That is, whether or not anybody outside of these two schools really gives a hoot about this game.
11) The alumni are saying, it's bad enough we have to donate to these schools, but don't punish us by making us attend their games.

At least we'll have 350 fans there as opposed to the 500 Portage fans. BIG difference.
Re: D 6A Championship Attendance
Hey look on the bright side, at least the fans will get a good halftime showing from the rockin' bands.
I heard that kid from McCort is going to shred that guitar this weekend HAHAHA!

Moldy
Number 10. Who cares. You care. This is all you type about, McCort,McCort, and more McCort.
You seam to be a bitter, bitter person.Oh and since you care so much i'll give you another piece of info. OMOS has another player from Ligonier, he is in six grade. He also will be attending McCort. This should give you something to type and rant about for at least 6 more years since you care so much.
I think you are a Forest Hill fan, not real sure since you type about McCort more than anything else. Good luck tonight, I hope they win.

Looks like the winner of the BM/BC game will play Reading Holy Name. They beat Millersburg 27-20.
