NBC won the first meeting at the Shade shoot-out with an great game from diehl and T.Pressel. The second meeting was a scrimmage, so there was no score kept. But it was back and forth the whole time would have come down to the final possessions.

Northern Bedford vs North Star boys playoffs

Post by Coach »

I think Tony had one catch in that D5 final... It was the TD to seal the deal after NB had a big rally...

NB seems to struggle most with teams who are have 2-3 guys who handle the ball well. I'm not NB has a true PG that handles the ball really well. T Pressel and Diehl both had terrific seasons in football and now they are both playing well on the court.

Ridge seems banged up right now so I'll take NB to the finals vs CT.

Don't sleep on NS. they play hard and are very scrappy. They only lost by 3 at shanksville. they could pull this one out.

Don't know much about NS but they sound young. NB lacks experience and discipline, and struggles offensively. Good defense and rebounding because of great length (relative to the area) and a good low-post offense, typical of a Crawford-coached team. A good defense and experienced team will give them the most trouble. If T. Pressel doesn't foul out NB should hold suit at home in the first round.

Nbc has 4 juniors that have been on the varsity squad since they were freshman... and were talking experience experience?
NBC might not be the best disciplined team... but they can put up points they have only scored under 45 a hands
full of times. Also pressel hasn't fouled out in the last 5-6 games. Also Nb can handle defends... its the press they struggle with.

I have been watching a few games at NBC, and it seems like there are a pretty talented team. If there on -no one in D5 can beat them. What i mean bye (if there on) is if they work the low/high post with success and if there out side shooters are on. They do lack the ability to cut and move to the open spots.(to much standing around).
Im not sure about what off-season Basketball is played there, but (experience) means-Do they play year round- every weekend? If not there is NO experience. Your teams that go deep in the playoffs usually play year round.

ok.. they lost to ridge twice tussey once and single A sf twice. and no one in d5 can beat them if they are on? when are they ON? they will not just walk over n.s. N.S. lots tons of talent and will still give nbc a run for there money, but as i stated earlier, being played at nbc should give nbc the advantage, your next matchup will probably be against a ridge team that beat nbc twice already.

NBC 7 loses were to teams with winning records. But that doesnt matter. What matters is what happens now in the play-offs.
