Nice win for Jtown...Hampton significantly better than Mars, in same section and Hammpton won by 8 and 24 respectively this season. More on Hampton later on. Jtown can beat Hampton, if they turn up the heat defensively and play well against multiple defenses. Hampton is very big and very young.

I saw Hampton starts 2 sophs and a fresh. That teams future is bright. I think it will be a good game if johnstown can stay out of foul trouble.

Johnstown was actually winning this game by 24 pts. with about 130 left to play when mars scored the last 8 to make it closer than it was. That being said i think johnstown was around 4-17 from the foul line. Against a better team that is the diference in a close game. Johnstown was without thei point guard most of the.first half picking up 2 quick fouls. Halftime score was 24-20. As I said since the beginning depth is going to kill them at some point.

Congrats to the Trojans. The Harrisburg Patriot-News News seems to think that Johnstown could be the "dangerous" team in AAA this year.

I just want to point out in the interest of fair and precise media reporting "nice job, Coach Cal", who said FH over Tussey by THIRTY? Did you rush out the door to beat traffic when it was 62-32? The final was 62-35. Twenty-seven points. Just Sayin'. And while I'm at it, major kudos to announcer Mike Sotosky, who, after Casey Gallaher buried a trey at the 3rd qtr. buzzer to earn her 1,000 point accolade amid all the screams and congratulations of the FH faithful, had to take advantage of the break in the action to have someone first draw, then announce the 50-50 of $277 to the packed house. All a matter of priorities, isn't it. You can draw a d##n 50-50 at any point, yet choose to delay / overlook a major achievement in a kid's life. C'mon, MAN! You are a respected "professional" in the local sports scene, are you not? Just sayin' you could have done better.
It ain't over until it's over.

If the top half of your post was directed to me Manfred I was referring to Coachcal's updates and his play-by-play calling on the radio. Not sure what you're referring to, but congrats to the FH girls regardless. Big win, hopefully they can make a run and take down Villa Maria and Seton LaSalle.
