If Paterno had hit the panic button with Jer a couple of decades ago, he'd have been a HERO instead of a ZERO.

I have a very small amount of patience left for Chryst this season. I was somewhat confident in what he brings to the table, but I was dumbfounded by his decision to let the last 40 seconds of the half run out with the ball at midfield. One of the worst coaching decisions I've seen this year IMO.

Didn't see the game. But if Pasqualoni could have named the score, I'll bet he was sweating it out in the last 3 minutes.

Bleacherbum - Penn State is playing with 67 scholarships this year. 65 might very well hurt them. They might have years like Pitt, but Pitt fans have dealt with it for 30+ years. Penn State can deal with it for 4 more.

Moldy - How could such a big Pitt fan miss a game? Did your parents cancel the cable bill?

loss of scholarships may hurt but i am encourage by the number of Freshman and sophomores you are hearing in the lineup for Penn State. Plus Bill O'brien's fixing of Matty boy may keep that top Qb at PSU.

As I stated a few months ago,I am a Georgia fan...........while looking at all these post by TITAN I am starting to believe that he may be a closet Penn State "Cultist"......to have all this info at hand when something goes down at PSU and all the pictures he posts of Paterno, Jer, and the rest of the people from State seems awful fishy to me......maybe the 48-14 thrashing of N0.1 Pitt by PSU in '78 still scars him and deep down he is a PSU cultist as he labels evryone on this site

Doesn't anybody wonder just how many of these freshmen and sophomores are going to stick around after this season? After all, they have until august to take advantage of the no-penalty transfer rule. I mean, for their sake and their sake alone, this years seniors did a marvelous job talking the underclassmen into staying at PSU; the old rah, rah, rah for the home team. But when the dust clears after Thanksgiving, how many underclassmen are going to look around and see what's left for next year. No QB, no senior defenders, etc. Are guys like Robinson, Lehman, Carter, James, going to stick around when a new QB is going to take over. In fact, did PSU play their 2nd string QB during the season, except for the Virginia game? And what about those young promising defenders? Are they still going to fall for the "each game at Beaver Stadium is like a bowl game" baloney. Let's see what happens. How many of these underclassmen have just finished their minor league training and are ready to head off somewhere else for the real thing?

Probably not as much as you do.

Something tells me you weren't on the debate team in school.

Why would I debate Penn State football with a guy who won't even acknowledge his own team? That would be like a Milwaukee Brewer fan having to defend how his team plays to a Pirate fan.
