Every year? They have been good since what 2006-2007? Thats not every year thats a very very small sample size compared to the years before that when they were not even making the playoffs

Shade and McCort only legit teams in area. Both have fine coaches and kids who want to be there. I don't think these coaches have to do alot of begging to get kids to "come out for the team" as occurs in many other schools just to field a team. Both teams led by kids who have put the time in and play a ton of AAU ball against superior competition in the summer. That doesn't sit well with the many who go thru the motions. So it will be interesting to watch the imposters and our local westpac sports media try to keep them down this year, in the crab pot called Johnstown.

Are you saying Shade is better than Penn Cambria?

If that is the same Penn Cambria where the big kid plays on the perimeter and jacks up 40 shots a game to get his 30 PPG while his teammates wander the court like lost souls, excluded from the offense --- then yes, that is what I am saying. Shade would beat them handily.

BUT if this is a Penn Cambria team that finds a way to involve all players in the offense and gets the big kid to play dominating defense (as he is capable of) then, no, they will be a force to be reckoned with. In fact, this team is physical and athletic enough that they could dominate on the defensive end and have their defense create their offense to the point that they could beat good teams on a statewide level as a top 10 state ranked team.

Shade could easily play with any LHAC team. I'd have them right up there with McCort, PC,Somerset, and Carroll.

They have good guard play, and Wade Walker is pretty good.

I have not seen Shade play, they very well may be as good as the top LHAC teams.

Have to agree that putting the time in playing great competition through the off season is very benificial and creates quality caliber players and most that dont put fourth the time will find negatives about why kids should not play summer AAU ball (keep thinking that people)

Not to sure about them being the only two legit teams in the area....BM played a close game against CC last night. I thought BM would have had the running clock in affect. Shade will have its hands full this weekend. Sounds like a good one with shade VS CC and NB vs CT. Im picking NB to win this tourney,...OHHH and not sure about the crabpot comment, i'll take your word-for-it.
