First of all, why would Virginia drop thr game with Penn State. They ALREADY had 7 home games for 2013. They would get a nice payday for playing at Beaver Stadium. It was a close game for their fans to attend. And the main thing is, that PSU will be in sort of a rebuilding year after losing a lot of veterans from last years team. Who wouldn't want to play Penn State early in the season when PSU would be using a brand new QB with NO game experience, or playing in a new system. Seriously, would you rather play PSU in early September, or Oregon??? Doesn't make sense.

You think UVA would make more money by playing an away game at PSU than if they played Oregon at home for what will be a definite sell out? I don't think so. But if you have to believe your story to make yourself feel better than go right ahead. It's not like you're changing anyone else's mind with your arguments.

I don't have to believe my story for any reason except it's the facts. NO ONE said UVA would make MORE money with a Beaver Stadium payoff than with an Oregon home game. But it's a factor. Again, why would you want to play Oregon when PSU will be beatable early next season? Are you willing to trade MONEY from a home game for a loss????? I don't think so. I could see it if UVA neededa 7th home game, but who really needs 8. BO'B is a con man. PSU had this arrangement in the works for awhile, and UVA was forced to make the only move they could. Too bad the local media bought the story of UVA bailing out.

So Penn State changed their schedule and dropped a non-conference opponent. Who cares? I'd be willing to bet UVA fans don't even care. After all, they get to play Oregon at home now. This is the most idiotic argument ever. I hope Penn State did call UVA and say "the hell with you don't come." This goes back to the point other posters have with Moldy, he comes on here only to get his jollies off by trying to get under everyones skin about anything and everything.

Well, like I said. BO'B is like Obama. He's gonna finagle his way into what HE wants, whether or not the university wants it. You just saw it in his wanting George O'Leary and UCF on HIS schedule. You saw it in the way he got a million dollar raise by talking with the Browns and Eagles. You saw it in how he suckered his players and recruits into staying at Penn State. If I was a player, I would think twice about playing for him. And in the end, he's gonna bolt to the pros as soon as it suits him. Don't get in his way.
