Did you get your season tickets?

Typically Westmont home games get lots of kids from other schools to show up to watch, actually a good portion of their crowd.

By playing their home games on Saturdays, that'll give the Crushers another day of practice during the week.

I've been to Sat. games in Westmont. If other schools' kids show up, that's half of the total crowd. I remember a PLAYOFF game a few years ago between Westy and the CRUSHERS. The stands were half full/ half empty. What a pathetic show of support!

Westy...playoffs? Had to have been a few years on that one.

Westmont football only draws when they play McCort usually.

How will the Heritage Conference look in 2014, who is coming back that will make an impact for their team?

Homer could repeat. Berezansky back at QB, two capable backs with Ean Lee and Matt McAdoo.

Homer, Purchase Line, Blairsville, Penns Manor, and Ligonier are the top 5. Depending on injuries those 5 could finish in any order. Northern Cambria, Marion center, United and Saltsburg are the bottom 4.

Homer- Will have plenty of skill players, but you need the guys up front and that is going to be their weekness.

Purchase Line- They return alot and have a great RB in Syster.

Blairsville- They will have a ton of SR's. Will Score points with Robinson, Livingston and Thompson. If they can play defense they could be very good.

Penns Manor- A very good Jr class. They will be good but next year is their year.

Ligonier- They will have enough to be the bottom 4 teams with Smith and Jones.

Northern Cambria, Marion Center, United, Saltsburg- Lost alot and not sure what they have coming back. United didn't lose as many Sr's as the other 3 but still doesn't have alot of talent. I know their jv team had a winning record, but every team uses JV differently.

Homer loses 8 quality 2-way football players....they have holes to fill....on the district level, Guilfoyle is loaded with what they have coming back....on the Heritage level, bigben made a good post on most of those teams....but it will be a tough league with all 9 of them....

It was when the Fetzer kid was Westy's QB, before the Davis debacle. Maybe it wasn't a playoff game. Barely half full stands on a bright sunny afternoon.
