Some great games on tonight. Duke has a ton of talent. They could be scary good when they start clicking on all cylinders.

Duke is very good, I watched Kentucky on Sunday and plan on watching them soon, but I actually think Duke is better than him. Okafor is going to be the number one pick in the draft. He's a true center.

I watched Kentucky lazily sleepwalk through a Sunday game against Buffalo the other day, and now I am watching them out play Kansas in every aspect. This team is freakishly talented, and sometimes in cases like Buffalo they just might be disinterested. They might shine brighter in games like this. The 10 man rotation is pretty tough to deal with. They can basically chuck three's and offensive rebound as their entire offense. They are so big.

Kansas is no slouch, they have All-Americans and talented one and done type freshmen too, and Kentucky is taking it to them.

Right on the money as Penn State loses to Charlotte in their opening game of the tournament in Double Overtime.

Well, they will get a weaker team in the losers bracket. Isn't it all about number of wins BEFORE conference play?

They play Cornell tomorrow night, who was picked last in the Ivy League this year.

Sounds like an easy opponent. Saw where Newbill played ALL 50 minutes in the double overtime loss.

He had to. Penn State fell down 8-0 to start the game and basically played the entire game fighting a 10-12 point deficit. They trailed by as much as 17. You can't sit your best scorer when you are trying rally.

They now face Cornell and either Drexel or USC. They play Drexel later in the year so I really hope it's USC. Akron looks really good even without Treadwell (their best player). Penn State plays them next week at the BJC so we could be looking at another loss there. VT will present challenges, as well. Penn State really needs to stay at or under the 2 loss mark before conference play to have a shot at the tourney. That means surviving the rest of this tourney, Akron, VT, and a slew of small schools with only 1 loss to give.

A second loss in this tourney would really make it difficult.

Penn State ESCAPES with a one point win over Cornell with a DJ Newbill layup with 1 second left.

What a crazy game of just a total suck fest. Penn State got lucky to get out of there with a win.
