did you say this? yes, you did...THIS is not what cost them the game...they flat out lost. They didn't score 60 points, they only scored 18...one less than the other team. Had they not gotten a lucky hail mary td and made a shoestring tackle on an int it could have been worse. BG did what no other team did and what I've been saying they'd do....they smacked clairton in the mouth and the bears didn't like it...THAT is what happened tonight.

honestly clairton lost due to mistakes by them and 2 huge ones by the ref. Their 2 point conversion to give them a 1 point lead was clearly good (on replay) and the previous BG td BG missed a 2 point conversion but was given a second chance after a terrible PI call. All in all though its no different than any other game and clairton had their chance.

I was pulling for BG and I think I can say that if Clairton showed up and played a full good game they win by 30. Just looked like some dumb mistakes and poor effort. Clairton is by far the more talented team with far more potential but BG figured out how to put it together to win. I thought that 2 point conversion was good for Clairton as well. No point in crying about it. They should have put themselves in the position where that is the difference in the game. Cut back on the penalties and Clairton would have won it.

Didn't they have a bad snap on the conversion after the pass interference on the try and not get points anyway?

The PI call against Clairton on the 2 point conversion had no impact on the game at all. BG got another try and then fumbled the snap on the kick so they didn't try the extra point anyhow.

No worries. I was just pointing it out. I'm a BG fan and I thought the PI was a sketchy call so I'm glad it didn't impact the game.

In high school football, there isn't a "catchable ball" clause like in college and pro. So the ball sailed over Gormley's head but he was still being held.

It didn't need to be flagged, but it doesn't matter now and it didn't really matter then.

Wow, youngbuck, you got us so good on that one. We get pounded by D7 every year, then the best LHAC team ever beats them for the first time and you're crowned king.

Good job to BG. I think if Clairton would've kicked extra points all year, they would've had enough practice at it. Things might have turned out different. I don't understand it. Glad BG won though. Represent the area!
