Jimbo,
The big man for turkeyfoot is Lager. I think he is their center according to our paper he averages 20 and 10 so be ready for a physical game.

That kid is a tough one, I'll tell ya. He got all messed up from (what I heard from some T-food people was..)a four wheeler accident and his face is pretty messed up. He still played one heck of a game tonight vs. my boys. I wasn't expecting him to do much being injured like that, but boy was I wrong.

Thanx for the info Todd . . . Lots of offense in that game, makes me wonder about defense or lack thereof?! :cheesy:

Does Turkeyfoot tend to play zone or man? Is the offense designed around the big man or is he dominating on the offensive boards? Who are the other strong players? Any weaknesses that Southern Fulton might exploit??

I am a local coach who had a chance to see both Southern Fulton and Turkeyfoot play. Southern Fulton should win the game. However, don't count out Turkeyfoot. Lager is tough and they have about two or three other guys who are just about as big as him. They also have a good point guard who can run the floor and offense very well.

They will play man and zone and they will match up very well against Southern Fulton. This game could go down to the last few possessions. Should be a great game.

Thanx for the reply . . . I agree it should be an interesting game!

By the way, PIAA District 5 website was just updated, looks like Southern Fulton vs Turkeyfoot on Thursday at 7:00 PM at Everett; Shanksville vs McConnellsburg on Thursday at 7:00 PM at Chestnut Ridge.

Best of Luck to all teams involved!

Jimbo,
They are tough on the inside and crash the boards with the big men. They paly 3-2 or 2-3 zone. They may press 1-2-2 but I doubt it. They usually take advantage of this on their floor. They only had a couple three's against us, so I don't think they are deadly from out there. Try to pressure the point guard I believe he is smaller in size so you maybe able to rattle him. we played mostly zone to try and control the big man. IF Lager gets it he usually scores. GOOD LUCK!! If you play zone watch for cutters baseline.

all southern fulton has to do is keep t-foot off the boards if they do that they win.

WATCH OUT FOR MCCONNELLSBURG. I SAW THEM BEAT FORBES LAST NIGHT. THEY ARE VERY ATHLETIC. I DON'T SEE HOW THE VIKINGS CAN MATCH UP TO THEM. ANYBODY AGREE?

I would guess they will have to score more than 0 points in the second quarter to even have a chance. ( 0 in the 2nd in the quarter against Forbes)
