Congrats to Richland and SC. SC as predicted, Richland what a story. They beat arguably the best pitcher in D6. Begs the question, how did they seed so low to start the tourney. Not only BA, but Central and MU? Great run, I hope they keep it going.

Juniata Valley opens up the state playoffs with a W. Richland and Bellwood both fall in state playoff openers today.

JV wins again today 9 - 7 in 9 over California. Western final matchup against Eisenhower. Congrats JV, what an outstanding run.

Just noticed the unique ICC presence in the state playoffs. Its still possible this late in the season to have an all ICC state final with JV and SF in the state final four in class A

Along with Bellwood as an entry in AA, thats a pretty good representation for one league in the state tourney rounds There were a lot of good solid teams this season in the ICC, I think as many as 9 total teams qualifying for D5 or 6 A and AA games. Kudos to all ICC teams this season.

Bellwood is "AA" and played in the "AA" tourney. They lost 1-0 (10 innings) in the first round of states, I think to Neshannock out of the WPIAL. Neshannonck went on to win yesterday 13-3 in 5 innings. Pretty impressive for Bellwood to hold them down.
