Tyler Boyd
Re: Tyler Boyd
So you think Pitt wants their future 1st round WR with his 1st ever issue on record to miss Youngstown State, @Akron, @Iowa, and @VT???
That is how you start 1-3.
I understand the issues with drinking and driving, I think everyone does (including Boyd). Apparently he only had 2 shots and drove home after the NBA finals. He was pulled over for not using his turn signal. Let's not act like he was arrested after being clocked at 97 mph going down the Boulevard of Allies, with a bottle in his hand, and a BAC of .2. I know I was guilty of similar crimes when I was his age but was fortunate enough to not get caught. Give me a break...4 games.

Re: Tyler Boyd
This shouldnt be about pitts record but setting a kid straight. We should care less about what their record is for football and more about sending a message. He'll still be a future first rounder with his talents but you'll help him more in his future. Most schools would considered kicking him off an athletic team for this. He's lucky he's a star player playing football or that would be his fate

Re: Tyler Boyd
Let's go I agree with you. But I have known of athletes at my former school get caught and be suspended multiple weeks for underage drinking, they just usually call it something else to the press
Re: Tyler Boyd
There is no doubt he should be punished. He said he had 2 "shots" that night before driving home. Heck, I've seen 18 year olds have 2 shots after dancing with the bride after a bridal dance at a wedding reception. He should learn a lesson. The BAC for a kid under 21 is .02, not the .08 for an adult. He is a first time offender. The embarrassment alone, plus a one or two game suspension, would be PLENTY to get his attention. Throw a $500 fine if you want. But to take away 1/3 of his season is TOO harsh. When PSU's Anthony Scirotto and his friends broke into a guys apartment in State College, beat the living **** out of it's occupants, and smashed a beer bottle over a kids head, all he got was suspended from the team for two months, IN JUNE AND JULY. Did not miss a game for his actions. Certainly, a game or two would be enough.

Re: Tyler Boyd
If you really wanted to punish him take away all scholarships. Something tells me he can't afford university of Pittsburgh with no help
Re: Tyler Boyd
punish: to impose a penalty for a fault, offense or violation. The degree of penalty is usually based on the severity of the offense. NO ONE should lose a scholarship for what just happened.

Re: Tyler Boyd
This is ridiculous. If he was a couple months older he would be paying a $25 fine for a minor traffic violation. The only problem at all is he is 20 years old. Anything over a 1 game suspension is way overboard. A .02 isn't even buzzed driving. It's the equivalent of someone going to the bar and getting wings and a beer then driving home.

Re: Tyler Boyd
I think that the Paterno Depth Chart Justice treatment is in order for Boyd.

Re: Tyler Boyd
Honestly, I'd revert it the philosophy of WWJD (What Would Joe Do?)
Give him the Paterno Depth Chart Justice treatment. TB should be made to clean all of the trash in Section 522 in Heinz Field the Sunday after the Youngstown State game...On second thought, the Paterno Treatment would be Narduzzi just being cranky with the media and looking the other way, while bragging that Pitt is the Holy Grail of CFB and that he refuses to leave the game of college football to the Sherrils and and Switzers of the world.
