Yes. I would allow my daughter to play football. Granted they are 4'11 and 5'3" each. So the chances of them playing (or wanting to) would have been slim.

Yes. They look cute in skirts.

Would you let your sons play?

(This is a reply to the field hockey question)

I think there was just a new ruling that doesn't allow boys to play girls sports anymore.

knowitall: So the guy wears a kilt. Irregardless of the apparel, is it FAIR for girls to play on boys teams, but not for boys to play on girls teams?

If a girl is talented enough to play on a boys' team, yes.

Boys playing on girls' teams should be shunned.

So girls have access to EVERY sport possible in a high school setting, but boys don't. If a 135 pound boy is not allowed to play with some of the bruisers on the girl's high school field hockey team, how fair is that?

Great reply. But what about "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance"?

Both boys and girls can play football. The counter fall sport of that is cheerleading.

Boys have the right to wear a skirt and play field hockey with the girls. If he is shunned or bullied, oh well. ni one can protect him or his family from the riducule
