Re: Pens vs. Lightning - EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
Hit the nail right on the head, Peyton.
Olli value is as low as it could possibly be. He's not going to be traded, who would want him right now? He's not healthy right now, IMO. A full off season and proper training (with the legend Gary Roberts or workout warrior Kris Letang) and he will be just fine. He's went through a lot in the last 20 or so months but I believe he will be an important part of the franchise beginning of 2016 season.
Murray has a tendency to give up a soft goal here or there but he is also known for shaking them off and slamming the door shut when it matters most. Second goal last night was weak as weak can be but he kept them at 2 and got the W. Thats what matters. You can't give him a rest... if you go back to MAF you're not going to go back to Murray.
Big kudos to HCMS last night... thats something you never saw FHCDB do. The lines weren't working so he kept shuffling until he found something that worked... thats what playoff hockey is all about, finding what works and getting a W.

I could see the Pens winning the next two if they continue to control the puck like they have. Aren't they doubling up TB in shots? That's insane.

Per Bob Grove on Twitter... Pens are out shooting Tampa 124-69 through 3 games. Pretty massive discrepancy there.
The Pens ability to roll 4 lines and maintain pressure is pretty fun to watch. Tampa is good but the Pens are really good.

Re: Pens vs. Lightning - EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
I think the shot discrepancy is a direct result of the Pens' overall defense being better, bending but not breaking in the face of Tampa O. And nearly everyone said the Pens D wasn't that good.
It ain't over until it's over.

Thoughts from the near comeback:
Letang is a loose cannon. cost them a goal. needs to control that temper and stop playin dirty.
Losing Daly sucks, hope he can return. If not, I go with Poulliot over Matta
Fleury would not have given up 4. It's time to put the franchise goalie back in the net. Should have last night.
The big names are coming alive...if you recorded the game...use slow motion at the 60 second mark of the 3rd...pretty sure everyone somehow missed the tying goal by crosby

No missed goal (shot went wide). It's the butt-end of Vasilevskiy's stick.billmurray wrote:The big names are coming alive...if you recorded the game...use slow motion at the 60 second mark of the 3rd...pretty sure everyone somehow missed the tying goal by crosby

This series has the making of a classic. Its getting a bit physical to say the least. Any chance stamkos gets back for later games? Either way I'm sticking with the lightning pick. Could be 7 now though
