Meyersdale's first ever state championship appearance in any sport I believe. Good for them.

Bishop McCort could not reproduce the magic of 2012 falling to Neumann-Goretti 3-0 in the AA Championship. There was a lengthy delay in the 4th inning due to a thunderstorm.
Hopefully Meyersdale and Bellefonte will have better luck tomorrow.

After a great turnaround to the beginning of their season, I actually wanted them to be a trophy-winning team from D6. Congrats.

McCort had a very memorable season, just couldn't come up with a timely hit today, but that shouldn't overshadow their season as a whole. They did a great job this season overcoming a slow start. The program really turned around in 2008, and took it to another level when Coach Pfeil took over in 2011. This team wasn't one of their more talented teams individually during this run, but they played well as a team and did all the little things well.
Good run, should have a nice team next year also.

I was pulling for McCort yesterday, bummed. I'd rather have the Crushers than a Philly private win anything. CG, you said Pfeil has been there since 2011, do you know the progression of coaches since Schultz? I know DeFazio was there for a short time, but who else in between?

The late Denny Altimore was there for a good while before Pfeil. He had the team in the Western Final during my senior year in 2009.

Vincention plates another run to go up 3-0. Their first run was from a bases loaded passed ball in the first inning. The second run was from an infield single in the 4th. The third run was from a groundout. Heading to the bottom of the 5th now.
