Well, keep in mind that these are only going to get better. Check out the 110s, as well as the 400. Pretty impressive for the first meet I'd have to say. Sides', nothing from Bedford really impressed me much, other than Derek Harris' long jump. But the question is, will he be able to do that consistently? Only time will tell. But that's the only thing from Bedford that impressed me.

Derek got 5'10" in the high jump in terrible conditions. Give him warm weather and he'll get more. Ryan Young's time in the hurdles was pretty
tough, but can he improve on that at all.

Well Freddy C Harris is talented that I will give him that but I would lay money down that Ryan Young not only breaks the school record but also hands troy a loss in the 110's

well wolfman, one post and you are already making wagers. Welcome aboard but get your story straight. Ryan Young is a great kid and also talented but he will NOT beat Harris in the hurdles this year. Sorry.

well being that im a statman, i decided to do a little comparing from todays paper, these are the top finishers from both teams in each event except the 3200 relay because bedfords time wasnt in the paper, tho i think it was 9:05 to ridges 9:15. and pole vault, ridge cleared 9' and bedford's was cancelled because of the rain.

Bedford C. Ridge
110HH 16.0 15.9
100 11.4 11.8
1600 5:10 5:29
400 55.5 54.3
300IH 42.4 46.4
800 2:14 2:25
200 23.6 24.3
3200 11:17 11:36
1600R 3:48 3:56
400R 45.1 48
SHOT 37-9 39-5
DISC 99-10 106-9
JAV 119-10 137-11
LONG 20-10 18-6
TRIPLE 39-9.5 38-7.5
HIGH 5-10 5-4

so based on thes statistics alone, bedford would have recieved 55 points to ridges 25, make a note that the 110 hurdles were seperated by .1 seconds and the 400 dash was seperated by 1.2 seconds...so its not that big of a deal...the only area ridge is pretty much garuanteed a first is the 3 throws

as everyone knows, it is still the beginning of the season. therefore, by the time ridge and bedford goes at it, i think it will be a lot closer than many think. either way, it will be good, and the weather shouldn't be an excuse for anyone by that time. hopefully next week we can see some better numbers for both on account of the weather. good luck!
