Hey cupcake man...
The team they played was the same one WVU played one week ago.
PSU wasn't to play UCF originally. This week was supposed to be Bama, but they backed out after they got into some trouble with things. That left PSU scrambling to fill voids for this year and next year.
Note: WVU plays James Madison this weekend. JMU...NOT D1

In recent news it was announced today that in an effort to strengthen their schedule Joe Paterno has canceled all of the remaining regular season games and scheduled 8 matchups consisting of the psu football team vs. Hollywood
Since 7 of the remaining teams made bowl appearences last year they saw no logical way of finding better competition other than playing 11 on 1 against the inventor of football himself.
on a more serious note...I wonder what wvu is doing this week faced with the impossible feat of gearing up for JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY(D-1AA) next weekend. I heard a rumor that they're practicing 18 hours a day and watching film for 6.

Can anyone give me the scoop on the PSU game this weekend? I was attending the WVU game where the ACC officals tried to screw the Mountaineers. Needless to say I didn't play college football and I may not be at liberty to discuss my opinion on this game but I will anyway. Yes the officals did blow a few calls (don't they always). WVU had the chance to put the Turtles away and didn't in the first quarter. It was really funny to see Mountaineer Field filled with WVU fans suffering from "little mans disease", "I still have a chip on my shoulder disease" and my personal favorite "I don't like Penn State disease". The latter disease is followed up by "Penn State is afraid to play us" --if you happen to know or see a Mountaineer fan please direct them to the nearest box of tissues.
