Re: Adrian Peterson
Have you actually seen this kid run the football or are you going by what ESPN tells you? You gotta take everything those guys say with a grain of salt, because ESPN hires analysts to represent a certain geographic region. Trev Alberts is there because he played at Nebraksa and is VERY pro Big 12. Oklahoma gets so many top recruits that it seriously should not be a shock that their back has this many yards already. Also, they have not played anyone except Oklahoma State, and OU has better athletes on their second team than OSU has on their starting team, with the exception of Morrency. Running for 200 yards behind that line, against Kansas, isn't much of an accomplishment. If they beat USC, I'll give them credit. Until then, I am sticking with what I saw at least 5 times this season, and that is a very weak secondary and a very overhyped offense.

Re: Adrian Peterson
in my opinion i don't think record matters, i think it should go to the best player and peterson has proved he desrves it. it shouldn't matter if you are a senior or freshman. i know the big 12 isn't quite as good as they usually are, but they are still tough.

Re: Adrian Peterson
How can you argue against Carnell Williams being the Heisman...honestly...he controls the game when he runs the ball..he is the main factor in Auburns season so far

Jason Campbell is the reason Auburn is where they are.

Re: Adrian Peterson
i'm still sticking with peterson. i know cambell and williams are strong options for the hesiman, but not as strong as peterson. if he continues to do what he has done for the rest of the year it has to be the best season a freshman has ever had.... or atleast one of the best

Re: Adrian Peterson
The only reason Bush has less yards is because he has almost 100 less touches than Peterson. A player should not be punished just because his team is loaded with talent, unlike OU who's turned into a one man show (please, no one make the argument that Jason White is any good, he definatly isnt).
If it goes to the best player, it gotta be Bush
Best Stats, Sunny Cumbie (Texas Tech)
Real good player, Real good stats, Signal caller on the best team in the nation, Jason Campbell
Player that i wish would win it but has no chance whatsoever because he was only 240 yards short of breaking a passing record and didnt break it but instead broke the career INT record and led his team to a 66 point loss in the biggest game of he and his team's season, Timmy Chang
I'm not saying Peterson isnt good, he has 1200 yards already for crying out loud.. I just dont think he's the "BEST"
