i agree that sandusky was an excellent coach and would have been a perfect replacement for joe, but i do not know if he would consider getting back into coaching. i know he is very involved with his charity now, the second mile. whether he be willing to take his time away from that and go back to psu is anybody's guess. i am also pretty sure that he got offerred the virginia job back before al groh took over but turned it down.

11-1, 12-0 ??? I think Sandusky is a terrific coach, but he'd be a miracle worker to do that.

Could anyone imagine Steve Spurrier as head coach at PSU?? Here's my scenario, JoePA goes to the Miami Dolphins, Dave Wanstadt to U of Florida, and Spurrier to PSU...How's that grab ya???

Interesting point observation to this whole rumor, apparently on his visit to Happy Valley Justin King met with Joe Paterno and President Spanier to discuss the "future of the program". I doubt this is standard practice and could either be an extra effort to get the #1 CB prospect in the nation, or a sign that something truly is in the works regarding Joe's retirment.

Enough of the childish posts...EVERYONE!

I'm excited to see where Justin King commits tomorrow night. Williams from Maryland (one of the top WR prospects in the nation is down to PSU and Florida). IF they land one or both of these guys, it will show that the pride and tradition built at PSU has lots of merit with these young guys.

I for one stand by my prediction of PSU getting back to the Top 25 next year...

The entire defense that started the other day will be back except for Wake.

The whole O-line plus some younger guys will be back and should be better. Hunt, Kinlaw, Scott, and Robinson are all back...if they get a freshmen that can start and be a burner at WR, then things are really looking up. That is what they are lacking....defenses can simply load the box now since they can't stretch the field AT ALL.
