Bedford is in an enviable position to have three such good possible candidates, even though this is pretty early to speculate. Craig was one of my best friends in HS and would be an excellent choice. He loved coaching even when he was a player. Plus he played under Royce Waltman, which ain't bad on a resume. He and another Walman product Mitch Arnold had some very good girls bb teams when they were together. Craig's plus in addition to his knowledge is his personality. As we all know, there's nobody quite like him.

Steve Wise, a former player of mine way way back and of course another Waltman player, is probably one of the most underappreciated coaches in the area. He does well both when his teams are loaded and when they're not loaded, and his teams seem to play their best at the end of the season, which is the hallmark of an effective coach who also is interested in teaching the game.

Mark Anderson was one of the most coachable players I've ever coached and was a fine junior high coach in his own right. He's a class act guy all around.

I'd personally like to see Craig get it, but as I said before, these other guys, if they're interested, would be great candidates too.

Bedford (and by that I mean a large segment of the school district population as well as administrators and school board members) doesn't know how lucky they are to have a continual selection of excellent coaches, past and present. The Bisons have a high level of success as it is, but just think how things would be if their coachings staffs were treated as the valuable assets they are?

There is also word that Mr. David Gresh a math teacher at the High school gave his name to the AD because he was interested in the job. As for craig i kno someone who talked to him late in the week and he was goin to do some major thinking over the weekend as weather or not he would put his name in. If craig puts his name in and would happen to get it that would mean there would be a jr. high girls coach position open as well

DR. GRESH could put together some kind of amazing math equations to translate into some basketball plays.

He might also be putting together thousands of rubics cubes during games and practices.

I had the privilege of watching Craig Harris coach many times over the years. Always walked away wondering why he wasnt a Head Coach some where. Always enjoyed how he managed the game and knew where to put his players to get the most out of them.

It would be a shame if CH didn't get the job. If he didn't maybe Freddy C could find him a spot???

I know that their will be many disappointed parents because of the coaches daughter issue.
It will always happen.
I don't care if it is a coaches son or daughter. They should not move up just because that coach is coaching that sport.
Nobody else gets that privilage. Neither should they.

I hear she is the most athletic one in the family. I have not ever seen her play, but if there is any truth to that at all it will be a long for years for opposing coaches.
