Why all the sudden interest in Pitt?
The bottom line is that Pitt fans on this board are not fair weather fans and do not have a sudden interest in Pitt's success.

yet they still only talk about penn state, always penn state

Of course, that's something to wonder about. They're too busy bashing on Penn State to talk about the Panthers. Like how Tyler Palko and Greg Lee should be all Big East, and whether or not their team will be up to the task of beating Louisville for the conference title and BCS spot. Right there is plenty to talk about.

Re: Penn State vs Pitt/WVU
I would love to talk about how Palko and Lee will do this season but I am afraid bdftbllham said what I am thinking.
Why?

Let me get this straight, when someone receives a crank call, they are supposed to turn off their phone. However, when someone says a disparaging remark on a message board about PSU it's too much work to just ignore it and move on? If you just ignore the off topic remarks and move on with the discussion, they'll be greatly reduced if not stopped altogether.

So anytime someone DEMANDS that you do something, you oblige, even though you consider it an absurd thing to do? Or is it just Head Roadie and Titan that have this effect on you? It's just a message board, you really don't have to reply if you don't want to. Even those arrested have the right to remain silent.
If you want your PSU only threads, then ignore the posts that are off topic. Why is it ok to ignore crank calls but not message board posts?

Because, they bring it up over and over and over again. And if someone jumped in saying that PITT sucked all the time you'd start to pay attention to it. PRANK calls are harmless, I don't know of anyone who ever died from one. Infact, if it wasn't a PSU player that did it, you would have never even read anything about it.
Be mature enough to not post in the PSU threads and trash Paterno, the fans and the players. It's that simple.
