Thanks Moldo,
I did watch the Penn State game in HD on my 62 inch t.v. Dish Network now hosts the Big10 Network and all the games it covers are available in HD.
What I was referring to was the last 3 mins of the game when I turned it on to watch the end after PSU put up 45.
Thanks for your concern though. I really appreciate it.

Bostick was a high level recruit who is expected to be the answer. He may not be the answer at this moment, but the sooner he's out there, the closer Pitt will be to having a good quarterback. Wannestadt missed a golden opportunity to put him yesterday. Maybe Bostick couldn't have a lead comeback, but the way Smith was playing, it sure seemed worth a shot. If the other guy was playing great (or even mediocre), I'd say keep him in there, but that was not the case in yesterday's game.

once again, smith was 9-18, 85 yards, 2 picks...bostick COULDN'T have done worse than that...I couldn't have done worse than that...it's pointless to be playing smith when the qb of the future is on the sidelines.

well after we held them and got the ball with what 5 minutes?first play we fumble......if we dont fumble right there and have a 5 minute drive we win but since we had to put Kevan Smith in the situation to try and lead us down the field is the reason why we lost....it would have been unfair to throw Bostick in in the 4th quarter...It was almost unfair to Smith because we ran the read option with Shady the whol;e second half he definatley wasnt prepared
next week i say we beat UConn by 20+

So ham was referring to the last 3 minutes of the Pitt game when he said "they were dumb enough to stick with Smith when he was obviously not getting the job done"????? So he was advocating Pitt put in Bostick for the last 3 minutes????? Who would do that? Of course, Penn State did insert Morelli into the Wisconsin game 3 years ago for ONE play. Too bad it cost him a year of eligibility. Tooo bad he isn't a junior right now isn't it? Now THAT is an example of being "dumb enough".

I had seen his stats to that point. As S-cube has pointed out, they were anything but flattering. I was meerly going by what I saw on the last drive, and I know that Bostick couldn't have done any worse through the whole game.
Morelli is what's holding this team back this year and is going to cost them a game or two. The sooner he gets out of PSU the better. Darell Clark is very much like M-Rob. And Pat Devlin is the future for PSU.

I'm not tryin to say they should have threw bostick in with 3 minutes left...he should have been in to start the 2nd half, which is what i was getting at when i started the topic! Seriously bostick couldnt have done any worse no matter how unprepared he may have been.

How many times do you need to point something out before people listen? The coaching staff asked Morelli if he'd go in there and throw that pass. Mills and Robinson were both injured. Morelli gave up his redshirt on his own. That was not Penn State's decision. If it was a stupid call, blame Morelli for not having the guts to tell the staff to leave him alone.
I like how I now get criticized for NOT criticizing Paul Rhodes. So Pitt did a decent job on defense in one game and now Paul Rhodes has his act together? Give me a break. Michigan State will probably lose 4 conference games, they're not a heavyweight. You argue just to argue anymore, Moldo.

As for the Morelli situation, I agree with Ham; the sooner he is out of PSU the better. Yeah, he has his games when he is on, but also when he is off he is OFF and what is gonna happen when one of those games comes against a top-notch team? PSU's defense isn't gonna be able to save them everytime. My favorite PSU QB in the last couple of seasons has been Robinson by far due to his versatility and speed. Delvin is gonna be the Allen Iverson for Penn State; he is the answer.
