Wadley not knowing the plays thats garbage to me and i know your not saying it ......but Isa is fine with stuff like that why they dont play him?I have no idea That was probably the shakiest of all the coaching calls made Friday night by not putting in #34 at any position?

But the inside trap may have been mccort most sucessful play in years past but we can all agree that this team isnt built like previous teams we scored all our TD's through the air but still with all that in mind Richland beat us Pecora played a terrific game and Westmont lost to BC today

So both teams will be looking to get back on the winning track

Back to the trap on third down. Yeah, if it worked out no one would say anything but don't you think Reagan (being up in the booth for Richland) was sniffing out that trap on third down? He was on Salems coaching staff for about 5 years I think he probably knew that was coming. But also, you have a senior WR and QB who had been dominating the game...give them the rock on third down with the game on the line!

Where are the game summaries this week on the mccort homepage? I've never known Ken to be at a loss for words? I also wanted to read the stats, if anyone has those or heard them on the radio it would be cool if they could be posted. Heir apparent to the title of most overrated LB goes to Caperelli, nah hes a great kid and very tought, (rip on user for always proclaiming mccort "most athletic team" and calling him heir apparent when your own fans aka Defense wins games says he should be on the line) Tough playing Marco because he is just a baller and no one is gonna hold him down? If you dont think this kid is hungry to make the playoffs theres something wrong with you (Vman we already know there is something wrong with you). Use you also say the spread only needs all these mismatches and all they had was fenton well Marco is a baller once again (do you really need any bigger mismatches?). So your wrong there. I also believe user thought miller would be running back hmm wrong there you ever hear of krouse? Well now yah have! Crimson67 or whatever richlands blocking tech. sucks yeah so what the mccort dline cant tackle so who needs to block?

(Quote from "da user")Truth be told, I don't think Richland has much of a chance.

As we've seen this season, the way to beat (or nearly beat McCort) is to run through them. The opposing team must dominate both sides of the line in order to beat the Crushers this year... While anyone is suspect to defeat at any time, I just don't see Richland establishing the ball-control offense neccessary to beat McCort, who has a high concentration of talent in the secondary. Also, Richland's run-stop defense has been questionable these past few weeks. If McCort can keep the ball on the ground, and out of Pecora's hands, Richland doesn't stand much of a chance.

User you certainly must be singing a different tune as they more than stood a chance!

also user shawn james did not play like shawn merriman

it is ironic that you say IW should be incorporated more into the game plan and that salem would do everything in his power to keep his best athletes at the school and eligible cause during your junior year the best athlete on the team was not utilized.

Dont take my words out of context...

For THIS individual game i believe caperelli should have been moved to DE to help contain while wadley, a faster lb, would have been able to cover move ground...btw, caperelli is a great LB and one of the best in the lhac

the fact that richland "ran through (mccort)" was directly a result of running 3 wr sets and forcing the D to spread out...its just like the App State(spread em out) vs Michigan (a smashmouth straight ahead team)...

K of C you said "If McCort can keep the ball on the ground..." well they didnt, richland forced mccort to pass and for the most part they did it very successfully...its just richland was able to match...

User, you are wrong and saying that about the inside trap but to say it has been mccorts best play? (waggle plays r bread and butter) i dont remember that play ever getting out of the backfield, well i dont recall mccort even gaining any yardage at all the whole game on it at all...i would have thrown it up to Cruz personally...

again, the play did not result in the outcome of the game...should have been put away MUCH earlier...anyway good job richland...and i agree...mccort did need a loss...but id rather lose to richland than westmont anyday..

where did this concept of needing a loss come from? Is this a central reference? Is this something Lou Holtz came up with? Maybe that explains mccorts loss to BC every year? please explain

Why in the world would you throw it to cruz...He is a big target but if my sources serve me correctly he only has 2 receptions all year..why not give it to someone who has proven themselves as a playmaker? Im sure ill get jumped all over by you mccort fans about how he is a d1 athlete but he hasnt done anything to deserve the d1 scholarship...Maxpreps.com has him listed for 2 catches and 12 tackles...if thats d1 matirial then I know about 8 or 9 kids from my school that should also be going d1 single A. Let the arguing begin!

needing a loss is probably such an uncommon term for Westmont and Richland cause they never neeed a loss cause theres always enough to go around

But the loss may be a good thing to get them out of the clouds and back to reality...just a thought?

colleges dont look at stats they do look at 6-5 260 but Mike does have good hands and yes he has 2 catches but hes only seen the ball thrown his way 2 times.........i think he may have 3 after last night i know exactly what your saying and if it were to go by stats..........i know what your saying

being a big time D1 athlete and verbaling before the season puts you in the spotlight and open to criticism no question. In his defense it all comes down to how he is incorporated into the offense. Vman may have a point shrey needs the ball more, Cruz needs to get his touches what the hell the one time cruz touched the ball he threw a bomb to shrey. The point here, as always is the case with mccort and their infallible leader kenny S, is this put the people in the right positions and in positions to make plays. For gods sakes and the rest will be history. Put your best athlete that is a tough runner at the fullback and give him the trap (Varga Wadley hell use cruz on some traps). McCort as of the last 3 years has not had a starting* tailback average over 5 yds per rush (Lowry 65 4 313=4.82). As user had said the trap is their bread and butter and has averaged 8 yds but do they have anything else to hang their hats on? Simply going by statistics mccorts defense has been a standard bearer for the conference and their offense has sputtered. Is coach salem still calling the plays? If the offense is not more tailored towards efficiently using the talent they have this will be another 7-2 district runner up hype machine kenny crushers.

As far as the concept of needing a loss good post, but does tyrone ever need a loss? Or southern columbia because these are the teams the mccort faithful compare themselves to. To go along with that if as user has said there are multiple d1 players out there why would one need a loss? Very easily players of this talent level can step their game up and take over.
