This may be a little bit off the discussion but it still involves Westmont...

From several sources I have heard that westmont does not have a whole lot of live contact "due to insurance reasons"??

If this is the case, no wonder they are the pits of the league and looked afraid to play McCort. However, I heard that the week leading up to the McCort game, that a few senior captains asked the coach for more hitting at practice and the coach went insane: live hitting even thursday b4 the game!!

Can anyone (former/current players) shed any light on this topic?

YEAH BACK IN WEEK 4, THEN THEY JUST SO HAPPENED TO BE BEATEN! OH WELL, WESTY`S GONNA HAVE TO SHOW THEIR DOMINANCE WHEN THEY TAKE ON WILMINGTON IN WEEK 10 TO GET THEM ENOUGH POINTS TO DOMINATE THE D6 PLAYOFFS.

STRAIGHT UP NASTY!

I'll read this later and see if there is a point in there somewhere.

I'm not a player for them, but from the ones I've talked to, McLaurin went off when one of the seniors talked to him about shaking up the offensive plays for more diversity. At the McCort game, their student section was chanting "McLaurin Must Go!" For a decent part of the game.I think it's time for a change on the Hilltop, they had the talent this year, it's a shame it went to waste.

Give it a break.
I was never one to scrutinize any coach around here, but McLaurin's a waste. It's common knowledge.
