You're right by saying he's only one player but look how much better the Falcons played last night. Sometimes just the presence of a good player is enough to lift your team. Vick isn't a very auccurate passer but throws a great ball, nice tight spiral. Just wait until he learns how to be a good NFL quarterback, add that to his pure athleticism and it will be lethal.

White Shoes: no one said that they didn't like him! This isn't recess in the 3rd grade so you don't have a teacher to bawl too. Most of us are just pointing out that the hype is way bigger than the talent. If Vick had played all year he would have had the snot kicked out of him by now and would probably be sidelined with injuries. Nobody is that good. He's only played in less than 20 NFL games and your ready to give him his own wing at Canton! Give me a break! He's good real good and has the potential to be one of the great ones but I'll wait about 10 years and see what he's accomplished by then.
Atlanta was a one year wonder in the Super Bowl with Jamal Anderson (where he at now? you probably thought he was the next Jim Brown didn't ya! He has a lame "Jam session" on the pre game show now!)
Anybody can make the playoffs in the NFL now; if he's as good as you say let's see him lead them to the playoffs 5 or 6 years in a row with a trip of two to the super bowl. If you read my post closely I said that the Falcons haven't been a consistent winner year in and year out. Heck they weren't much better than the Bucs for 20 years!

Well I guess we have our own differing opinions, which is fine but no one can argue that last year he didnt do a tremendous job of getting pounded all year and leading them to a great year. Now we can just wait and see how he shapes up next year and years after that. I just hope everyone is prepared to swallow their words, cuz I know I will if he doesnt succeed for the next 5-15 years.
As for Jamal Anderson, he had 410 carries the superbowl year, which is a record for one season. The next year a nasty enemy known as astro turf took his football career on one foul swope on a lowly monday night game. He tried a comeback and blew a knee again. And believe it or not I never thought of him as highly as Jim brown. Just merely Eric Dickerson :cheesy:

Vick just might have the same kind of career ending injury that Anderson had. Look at Terell Davis- if he didn't get hurt what kind of numbers would he have put up the last five years- football is cruel that way and can make you a lifetaker or a heartbreaker!
Regardless of how good any of us think Vick is or isn't one thing is for sure.... if they don't surround him with at least a decent line and receivers he'll waste away in pergatory like Archie Manning did in New Orleans!

mike vick has a good reciever in P. Price and only needs an average line because of his scrambling ability. He's an amazing player and one day he just might have his own wing in Canton and believe me ill be going there to see it. 8)

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a delaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is nothing.
Impossible is nothing.
