I think someone is confused. Joe West was not the home plate umpire last night in Milwaukee. Joe's name was mentioned because he just umpired his 5,000th game. It was not the Pirates game.

Left down by Super Nova and weak offense. Almost time to get off the coaster. Only way to stay on now is to sweep the Cards. That would be sweet under any circumstances. 3-and-4 in this important 10 games. Not good enough.

Chicago is still always going to be the team to worry about and they are still very broken. Schwarber to AAA, Heyward to DL.

Missed the first 6 innings, family movie night in Altoona. Looks like we can credit Jamo and Jaso for a big part of tonight's win. Back to 5 games out. 4 and 4 record with 2 more to go. A sweep would be nice with Cole and Kuhl pitching the next 2. Keep the coaster keep ascending!!

Glad to ride the Cole train to get within 4 games back. Oh how sweet it would be to sweep the Cards in their own park. Could get to 6-4 during this streak of Central foes. Also could get to 3 or 3 1/2 games out depending on what the Cubs and Brewers do, Keep the coaster climbing!!  

Well the big 10 game stretch is over. They finish 5-5 which I guess shouldn't surprise anybody. They drop to 5 back with a lot of time left. A well deserved day off on Monday before a 3 game series against a good Rays team and a 3 game series against a horrible Giants team t PNC. It would be nice to go 5-1 to get some momentum going. I am going to the Giants game on Saturday afternoon as a birthday gift from my wife.
