Wow almost as much chatter on here as the "The tire slasher" incident. What will this scandal be called in local lore? "The hair puller"? Or "the obnoxious little drummer boys"?

This whole argument about this incident is futile. Each side is going to defend there own. I had an excellent vantage point of the situation and all involved were at fault. I was shocked when only the "Angry Ridge Parent" got tossed and not the "Obnoxious drummer boys". They should have been escorted out too.

It was a great match and its a shame that so much time is spent talking about fans and not the wrestlers.

Howsare had Schnabley pinned no question.

I was making light of it. You LP, claim to be a conservative and I believe I have read your writings enough to guess you are a churchgoer. When placed in the context of eternity, what does a dozen teenagers banging on a drum during a high school athletic meet matter. It doesn't. We have come to a point where we forget about keeping the main thing the main thing.
The main thing isn't athletics or who is sitting on whose side. If people got as excited as they do about sports over things that mattered we would have a much different nation and culture.

I will end my banter on that subject.

The West bleachers (not the visitors :) ) would have had the best view of Schnably. I will believe Southy, I guess, that Cole was pinned.

I was also shocked at the Shimer/Oldham match.

1st- congrats to Ridge on a great victory.
2nd- I am still confused as to how you could force people to sit a certain place. It can be suggested where to sit, but with that many people in attendance, a seat is a seat.

I was not shocked about the Oldham/Shimer match. Shimer wrestled tough and Oldham hasn't wrestled real well lately.

Its not hard to confuse Freddy! lol

Wow! That was a great night of wrestling. I have never seen the gym that packed for a Jr. High Match before. I didn't see the incident but from what I have gathered here is my take on it. Could I see the stampede as being annoying? YES! However as an adult, I am never going to grab a high school kid by the hair or in any other way for being obnoxious. I don't think the CR boy that was being rude at the Bed - J-town match was physically abused in any way. My guess is that south-paw in some way instigated the whole situation. ;-) As far as the wrestling it was a great match. I think things went pretty much as expected. If the pin was called for Cole I believe Bedford wins on criterea 3. (which is most nearfall points awarded.) Congrats to CR on the win.
P.S. at least with the 119 match ending that way we don't have to hear the famous. "We got screwed" thing. just playing! Nice win CR.

congrats on the win CR. it was a good match, although ridge should of had 2 more wins,(phaler, an oldham), they couldn't have wrestled to their best ability. oh well it is over now, an the lions won.

I think there was a little more than being obnoxious. Rude and crass behavior should not be excused at any age and therein lies the problem. Also getting into a near altercation to stop it is wrong.

I thought Harbaugh wrestled well. It was one of those toss-up matches that could have went either way.

I don't know if anyone saw the Johnstown papers write up, but it is an awesome one and everyone should check it out. they even went to say "the fans cheered and chanted at rock concert decibels"...abd Two student percusionists banged ENTHUSIASTICALLY on a drum in the stands after each big move by the home team. It was a show of school spirit. Awesome picture picture of Tom Ripple in the write up also. Congrats to CR and it is good to see that it was an exciting enough match that was kept close, and kept us on our seats for awhile.
