Re: Pittsburgh Penguins
3/4 for the east and 2/4 for the west, not very good at predictions i guess...count2infinity wrote:... my prediction is that ottawa will win the 2 games at home and it'll be 2-2 before the pens win back to back again and win the series 4-2
as far as the rest of the east is concerned:
I'll take the caps over philly 4-3 (depending on how Biron plays)
i'll take the canadiens to beat boston 4-1 (i'd say a sweep, but Tim thomas is hot and Bergiron just came back from injury so that should give them a boost)
and i'll take the rangers over the devils 4-2... no reason for this really, i just hate the debbies more than i hate the rags
sidenote: 2nd year in a row that half of the playoff contenders are from the atlantic division... definitely one of the toughest in the league.
i'm not familiar with the west so i have no basis for many of my predictions:
Detroit 4-1 over nashville
San Jose 4-2 over calgary
Minnesota 4-1 over colorodo
Ducks 4-3 over the Stars
east will be philly in 7, pens in 6
west will be aves in 7 and the sharks in 5

Re: Pittsburgh Penguins
Count, you know in order for the Avalanche to win in 7 they have to beat the Motor City Squid Throwers on their home ice right? And not to be drinkin' hatorade, but you really don't know western conference hockey that well (you said it first i'm just agreeing). Dallas is one of the top teams as of late in the west and are predicted by the Hockey Night in Canada guys to go to the western conference final and give the Squid Throwers a run for their money.

The Flyers are just like the Titanic. They both look good until they hit the ice

'Twas good stuff Walt....another biggy Sunday ......then not to make this focused on an individual but I hope/expect Gary Roberts to return when we head to Broadway.....nice shot in the arm for the team as they hit the road!

Re: Pittsburgh Penguins
alaskanative, i am merely expressing my opinion on who i think is going to win. i thought the sharks were the best team in the west this year, so far they're losing by one game but i still think they're a great team. as far as the redwings are concerned, i always try to pick one upset... this was just the series i picked.
i was in NYC on friday on a school trip and i was wearing my penguins gear around times square. it was a good time, we actually found an NHL store and watched the end of the game.
todays game was a good one... nice little scrum at the end, can't wait for the next one.
