RidgeDad, I don't follow the government blindly. Thanks for asking, though. I don't follow a party either like you do. I like to develop my own opinions on things unlike you. I would like to know what you have done that is so great. What is your occupation? What's your level of education? Also, why would your obsession with me be flattering?

I too am not party driven. I am a conservative first and foremost. You are a liberal first and foremost. I get it. Dems typically side with liberals, Republicans typically side with conservatives.
I have done nothing great. Jesus Christ, Marcus Luttrell, George Washington, have done great things. I can't compare to that. I just spend as much time with my family as a I can, volunteer as much as I can (and I do), and go to work about 50 hours a week. Not that it's your business, but I have a B.S. degree.
You see, for you to think I'm obsessed with you is wrong. It is not you - it's what you stand for. Thus, stop flattering yourself into thinking I really care enough about you to be obsessed.

Dr. Savage lumped in with known terrorists and wackos? I like listening to him on occasion. What are the Brits thinking?

No takers yet?

What is your occupation?
RidgeDad, you seemed to avoid this question. Typical conservative picking and choosing what questions he wants to answer.
Southy, that's a good question. I don't think polygamy is going to be legal any time soon, but when I was younger I never thought I would see gay marriage legalized in certain states either. I don't see too many people fighting to be married to more than one person. I would think that would lead to divorce to the person they are already married to, which then in turn would not make it polygamy. There's just not a lot of Huge Hefners in the world.

El Moldo maybe teh gays want married so this does not happen to them...
"As her partner of 17 years slipped into a coma, Janice Langbehn pleaded with doctors and anyone who would listen to let her into the woman's hospital room.
Eight anguishing hours passed before Langbehn would be allowed into Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. By then, she could only say her final farewell as a priest performed the last rites on 39-year-old Lisa Marie Pond.
Jackson staffers advised Langbehn that she could not see Pond earlier because the hospital's visitation policy in cases of emergency was limited to immediate family and spouses -- not partners. In Florida, same-sex marriages or partnerships are not recognized. On Friday, two years after her partner's death, Langbehn and her attorneys were in federal court, claiming emotional distress and negligence in a suit they filed last June.

...Things to think about concerning this story:
...1) If the coma lady ( Lisa Marie Pond ) had lived with a BOYFRIEND for 17 years, he wouldn't have been allowed in to see her either. That's the rules. What's the problem with following the rules?
...2) Would the state police have let Janice Langbehn drive 90 MPH to the hospital in order to get there fast? That would be breaking the rules too.
...3) If Langbehn arrived at the hospital and all the parking spaces were occupied, would she have been allowed to park beside a fire hydrant while she went into the hospital? The answer is NO!!! That is breaking the rules too.
...4) What if Ms. Pond's parent's disliked her "girlfriend" and blamed her for taking their daughter down the wrong path in life? Shouldn't they be allowed to keep her out of the hospital room based on the rules of the hospital? They are the IMMEDIATE family, right?
...5) If the doctors recommend pulling the plug on the coma lady, should her "GIRLFRIEND" be in on the decision??? I don't think so. If you were the coma lady's mother, would you want her girlfriend to authorize pulling the plug????
...6) If you live in sin everyday for 17 years, can a priest giving last rites save you from eternal damnation?
...7) If the girl in the coma dies, and her girlfriend has been getting health benefits from the coma girl's workplace, should the girlfriend's benefits be discontinued???
...8) If the girls had not been filing their income tax as a married couple, or have filed SINGLE on their income tax, the government then doesn't recognize them as married. HENCE, Ms. Langbehn is not considered an immediate family member or a spouse in the eyes of the hospital either. Therefore Ms. Langbehn should be kept from the hospital room.
...9) If a person is lapsing into a coma, do you want boyfriend's, girlfriend's, best friend's, neighbors, pet's, schoolmates, or anybody else in the room, except IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS? It's an emergency room, not a circus.
...10) And finally, Lemmy is bringing up an extraordinary circimstance to defend the rites of gays to be married. When we in America make rules and laws, we don't set them up based on extraordinary scenarios. We don't have unlimited speed limits JUST IN CASE people don't feel good and have to rush to the doctor's office. We have a speed limit. Exceptions don't figure into the formulations of our rules. That's just the way it is.

It used to be the rule a white man could own a black person. It used to be the rule a woman could not vote. It used to be a rule alcohol was illegal. Rosa Rarks got tired of riding on the back of the bus. Change is constant.

Change is constant. Hitler, Pol Pot, and Stalin were also results of change. Not all change is good. I'm still not sold on the argument that gays should get the same consideration as race. Being gay is not a genetic condition. If your born black your black (even though MJ tried to change that). Being born gay? Seems alot of gays change their mind. Can't change your mind about being black.
This ought to stimulate some debate. Debate not hate deliverance.
