Manny, Berlin graduated some 40 kids recently, we're not a large school by any means. Why would you bash us for not wanting be the punching bag of the LHAC?

But Berlin will have no problem beating up on schools half their size. They are doing exactly what Somerset was trying to do by pulling all the Somerset County schools together. Be the big fish in a small pond. Chestnut Ridge could have done this same thing, but came to the LHAC instead. But enjoy those big stat padding wins over Glendale, West Branch and Williamsburg.

You missed Paul's Freudian slip? It's CURVE, not CURB. I wasn't disparaging the athletics teams either, but BB does co-op w/ Rockwood, so it's not like they're Harmony or Shanksville. You also missed my last statement that said they would have SIMILAR success in the ICC. If BB didn't want to be as you say, "the punching bag of the LHAC", then why did they ask to be admitted in the first place? Because they didn't want to be left with nowhere to go, thats why.
It ain't over until it's over.

Right....Berlin's at 61, Co-op 109 128 AA. Same size as Mount Union, smaller than Southern Huntingdon and Everett. Switch over to basketball and we're only larger than Juniata Valley and Williamsburg of the current ICC teams. That's not exactly big fish in a small pond whenever you'd be looking at being the smallest school in the LHAC by a substantial margin (not counting BM). It makes sense why Heights isn't in the LHAC. The Mountain Conference merging with the LHAC makes 1000 times more sense then absorbing the WestPAC. You'd be doing the same to Berlin.

The LHAC teams wanting to beat up on WestPAC teams is certainly a worse look than WestPAC teams merging with a more similar conference. Whenever we do have great teams I love the ability to schedule crossover games such as we did with Forest Hills the other year though Covid related if I remember, but to say we should be consistently competitive as a school that's been shrinking. What does Somerset do now? They wanted to run away from the LHAC in the first place.

Somerset needs to stay LHAC. Their issues are 100% internal, not external. They're in the right conference.
