Poaching the kids that he already recruited? That's like kidnapping your own child. Some kids commit to a school. Other's commit to a coach. I really don't see the issue here. If he liked them enough to recruit them to Vandy then why wouldn't he continue to recruit them to PSU?

Those kids verballed to Vanderbilt, not to Franklin. Did you read the article? And by the way, I didn't write it; I just relayed it. If those kids approached PSU about transferring, that's one thing. But if Franklin approached the KIDS about transferring TO PSU, that's what the question is about ethics.

They could have verballed to Vanderbilt's acidemics OR football program OR Franklin OR their facilities OR any number of other things. Point being, every kid has different selling points, and if the main reason they commited to Vandy in the first place was Franklin, then so be it.

IT's VANDERBILT that would have been giving those recruits their scholarships, and paying for them; not Franklin, not the academics, not the football program. Soooo Franklin basically stole from the University. It's like this: If a building company is negotiating a contract with a couple to build a house. Everything is pretty much finalized. Then one of the members of the building company quits, and he tries to pursue the couple in hopes of THEM going with HIM. Kind of unethical, isn't it? Maybe the name Coach Poach really fits.
