Not much has been mentioned about the "Return to the Rec" yesterday. I was SHOCKED when I heard the final score last night. While riding around yesterday afternoon, I heard a little of the Princeton/Penn State game on the car radio. It wasn't halftime yet, but the Nits were up by almost 20 points. About 6 hours later, was watching ESPN on TV when the final score came across the screen. I couldn't believe it; Princeton 81-79 in OT. Maybe the BTN can show the replay this week, since the game was shown live on that network.

A little bit ago, I got a chance to look at the box score of the Princeton/PSU game. The facts were telling. In a game which goes into one overtime, the players on each team play 225 total minutes. That is, two 20 minute halfs, plus a 5 minute OT, times 5 players. In yesterday's game, Penn State's bench played just 24 minutes, providing just 5 points of the 79 scored by the Nits. So the 5 starters played 221 total game minutes. 'nuf said.
