I think the bigger gripe is how officials change from regular season to post season. I read a stat earlier that in NHL Game 7's there are roughly 50% less penalties called than Games 1-6 and around 35% less penalties called in Games 1-6 than in the regular season. A penalty is a penalty no matter when it occurs... at least in my eyes.

Well here is the thing... Penalties are not called correctly in the regular season.... Very loosely based and when it comes to the post season they do their best to get as close to the book as possible. things that usually get missed in just too many men on the ice penalties. This postseason either way saw a lot more penalties, especially holding, called than i can remember. The real problem occurs when Crosby is treated like a 4th line center and no member of the pens steps up for their leader and fights back.theoneandonly wrote:I think the bigger gripe is how officials change from regular season to post season. I don't buy that at all... so the same officials don't call games right for 82 games and then all of the sudden wake up and call them "correctly"?

Pens fired Shero.
