Now let you ask you a question. Don't you think its a little strange that the all-time leading rusher in the history of the state can't even get a scholarship offer? That kid's grades are so bad that PSAC schools are not recruiting him. That's not a joke, either.

Please tell me what who in the state is good or better than this kid. Young is a fantastic football player. With some help in bringing up the grades this kid can make it somewhere big.

Didn't Young tweak his ankle or knee somewhere during this season that caused him to miss a game or two? We all better hope that's not the case,as Salem might cry to Mr. Cashman that since Young didn't actually play an entire season, and his grades aren't where they should be, that a good Catholic education could straighten him out. A medical hardship should probably be granted, of course only if he attends Bishop McCort for his final year. And, Mr. Cashman & all of your PIAA suits in Mechanicsburg, we'll SUE YOU if you don't give in to our demands!! Of course we'll allow you to consult with the WPIAL before you you render your decision, but we all know that will just be a formality. The WPIAL won't won't care what McCort does as long as it doesn't interfere with "Their Day" at Ketchup Field. Anyone else see the hypocrisy that goes on in PA?

shooting someone and the list of crime this kid has with law doesnt helr his D1 offer list.

McCort was not as good as Steel Hish it was apparent.....But im not gonna sit here and defend McCort with recruiting allegations because i think all the schools in this area arent all that good and make excuses for losing....But to avoid that talk....McCort hung with this team for 3 quarters....If they dont allow the TD in 4th and 4 maybe the game goes a different way....But thats football. What can you say.....McCort's D stood strong the whole game......Young got his yards but through 3 1/2 quarters he had trouble from inside the 30. The coaching staff had some questionable descions for McCort....They for some reason thought that a less the 100% Josh Seidel deserved more carries then the 2nd all time TD leader in BMHS history....Lowry didn't get all the carries he deserved and it was evident why the Crushers didnt score as many points as they possibly could have.

But the better team won
We're not going to make excuses like every other team in the disrict does.

Crimson, what was up with Wadley not getting many, if any, touches in the second half? I know at one point they put Reynolds in for Lowry, but was Wadley hurt?

Eric has some equipment trouble.
But the coaching staff all season long loved Seidel....Dont get me wrong Josh is a really good back and would start on almost every team in the LHAC....But he was hurt for sooo long and still might not be 100%. plus Eric Lowry is one of McCort's most distinguished RBs ever.....he was underused like crazy this season and still put up great numbers. Wadley also proved himself throughout the whole season......I really don't know...Thats dissapointing that one of McCort's best players ever didnt get the nessecary carries and also McCort's fastest player didn;t get so many either....the better team won but that night McCort was right with them....

McCort played them close if
"Take away the 2 int's"
"Take away the 4th and 4"
"Take away the 4th quarter"
"Take away the holding call on the 15 yard run"

Funny thing is interceptions, 4th down conversions, penalties, and playing all 4 quarters is part of the game. If BM would've held JY to under 300 yards it would've been closer too, but they didn't!

Great year to the BM players, this post was not directed towards them in any way but it was directed towards the McCort fans who can't accept they got it handed to them by a better squad.

Crimson, I agree that Lowry was underused all season long. I don't know how you justify your best player having less carries than someone who has been out for so many games. Who is to blame though? Rumor has it that Salem is planning to hand the program over to Sheridan or someone else in the coming years and was grooming them this season. I could be wrong though.
As far Steel-High, as It was only a matter of time until Young and Co. took over. I distinctly remember watching Penska punt down around the 5 yard line and Davis (#8, 6'7") just stood there and watched, even though he could have blown by and blocked the punt with ease. There are tons of "what if's" and "if this would have happened..." but there always are.
