A-11
Re: A-11
P.Dad,
Could you please name one of these exceptions in Football that differ from NFHS rules. Maybe they do make changes in other sports, but for football I know of zero, zip, nilch, nada... that differ from the NFHS rules. Maybe overtime, but, I am pretty sure they follow NFHS recommendations (I say recommendations because that is what NFHS High School Football Rules call that section "Recomended overtime procedures" )for that as well. And as I stated earlier the mercy rule was written by PIAA, however; the PIAA is still following the NFHS rules which basically say on the matter of a mercy rule state associations may do what they want. So please inform me of a rule PIAA changed I would like to know. Also, P. Dad I am no way trying to be a smart a** with you, I know sometimes when writing on a message board, voice inflections and facial expressions are lost and the tone can come off different than what is intended. I know we are in disagreement but my curiosity does not just let me 'trust' you in regards to this subject.
Thank You,
Skippy

Re: A-11
ok this offence would work good at richland even though we are not the smartest we atleast know how to do mental math without calculaters and in all seriousness who whould run this to kick a field goal like someone said earlier. it would get blocked in no time unless someone can drop kick. i would not be surprised if someone runs this on a 4th down and make it look like a cover punt. halla at ya boy
Re: A-11
Your missing the point richlandramsbeast. You wouldn't use it to kick a field goal or punt. The loop hole to run the offense is set because it's basically a kick formation because the 2 people taking the snaps are lined up @ 7 plus yards making it legal to have non-lineman numbers lined up in interior lineman positions. Someone posted about closing the loop hole so you could only do this on 4th down. I said what happens when I want to kick a field goal on 3rd down. Its going to be hard to close the loop hole right away, but like I said before I really don't think too many teams have the athletes to run this offense. Somebody posted its for teams that are out manned. Yes that is correct. But not teams that are out manned athletically. Those teams are the ones who line up in Flanker right every every play and run off tackle. And when that gets stopped they line up in flanker left and run off tackle. The A-11 is for teams who are out manned up front. I just think its too complicated and if you are going to spend all your practice time putting it in and it doesn't work, the people sitting in the stands (who we know are way more knowledgeable than the coach) are going to want the coaches head on a pike. That said, If it works everyone will be calling him a genius. Just don't hold your breath.

I am interested enough in this discussion that I am waiting for P Dad's reply if he indeed has one. He seemed pretty sure that he knew what he was talking about in the previous post.
