I honest to God KNOW there wouldnt be 85% Penn State at this game
Wont go the extra mile? Pitt had 65-35 in Annapolis last year?

Pitt should play Penn State. business or no business its a rivalry. Paterno killed it. you can come up with excuse after excuse cause thats all that crap you just gave. but in the end nothing can change the fact that PSU should play Pitt. It is what it is.

To them, your rationale is "crap". Cry about it. Why do you want another loss anyways?

Penn State has moved on too other rivalries. People at Penn State don't even give a rats a$$ about the Pitt program anymore. 10 years ago that was probably not the case but the rivalry is as dead as it can get. It might still be a big deal to those that can remember the glory days but Pitt has not been good for 3 decades now. Penn State has developed rivalries within the Big Ten and Pitt is left begging for something for recognition throughout the nation. Scheduling a Pitt would be the same to PSU as scheduling a Virginia, Boston College, Syracuse, or Maryland. Get over it Pitt fans, Penn State has moved on and your stuck back in the 1970's. Pitt has no leverage, either. Why would Penn State go 1 and 1 with them?

Keep believing you have real rivalries with Michigan State and company.
once that old man kicks the can the game will go on.

Keep thinking that we want to play you. You have a mediocre program at best.

For the 10,000 time, Penn State was the last of the two schools to offer a 1-1 deal. It was turned down by Pitt because it was not long term. If it's all about just playing, who cares if its for two years or for two thousand. Paterno is also on record as saying that he would support Pitt in the Big Ten to re-establish the "rivalry", although given his record against Pitt, it clearly wasn't that much of one.

LOL @ TAE saying "I was at State College when Pitt beat PSU 12-0"...You must be a Joe Carpenter wannabe...THE GAME WAS AT THREE RIVERS STADIUM IN SEPTEMBER, 2000, NOT AT THE ERECTOR SET, YOU FOOL and I was there. Guess what? Pitt had 75% of the fans in the stadium.

The score of the game was 12-0, and may as well have been 40-0, because PSU didn't even penetrate Pitt's 35 yard line, and Pitt missed several scoring opportunities.

12-0 is ancient history now, though...Why don't you NitWits talk about more relevant things, like the "Land Grant Trophy" game with Michigan State, and about the great rivalries with Temple and Eastern Illinois.

I heart Rod Rutherford.

Tell me one thing that doesn't make your program mediocre. Because I'll give you some things that do.

-Have not won 10 games in a season in 3 decades. Do you want a list of some of the programs that have?

-you have not won a bowl game in 8 years

-You have played in 1 bowl that is part of the BCS system since 1983. That game you lost to a team out of the MWC 35-7. (keep ripping PSU for losing by 14 to USC)

-You have won 1 Big East championship in 16 years. That even includes a conference that was raided by the measly ACC.

Playing 'Bama, Miami, Virginia, and talking to VT and several Big 12 teams for series in the near future. That is quality opponents. Pitt's resume is the same as Temple's.

I was thinking of the 99 game.
