Bishop McCort vs Clariton A Title Game

I'm torn here. I always root for the locals. But I always root for the west in the finals, and McCort is the eastern rep....what a dilema.

Eagle, you gotta go D6 here! I'm hoping that the Crusher knock off Clairton Friday afternoon, obviously, and that State High brings it home Saturday night. Sure is great to see D6 sending to teams to state, would be even greater to see them win two titles as well.

I want all you haters to realize that a McCort victory helps EVERYONE in district 6. It's simple math:

More state titles => more exposure
More exposure => better college opportunities
Better opportunities => better lives

The moral: If you're from district 6 and you're not rooting for McCort, you hate life. And I hate you.

Good effort Username, and even though you couldn't be more right, you and I both know no one will agree with you or root for the Crushers. With the exception of the McCort fans.

i'd like to see mccort loose about 50-6 to the public school.

......however, when the game is played, the "southern cambria/bedford/ somerset/westmoreland" county allstar team will prevail by a field goal.

It will certainly help McCort. More kids from Ferndale, Richland, Windber, CV, Johnstown, Westmont, Laurel Valley, etc, etc, will take a look at BM for their athletic futures. And don't forget about those college level locker rooms too.

Moldy's post made me think of this, and the fact this even popped into my head shows how sad things are, but driving home Friday night I thought about how people would say that this game would be a "recruiting showcase" for McCort. When actually its nothing more then years of hard work and dedication by the kids and the coaches paying off.
