Loya may hold practice everyday of the week, but that doesnt mean that he teaches the kids anything... I saw fleegle play in the offseason for his aau team and thats where he gets all his experience and talent... Not from loya....Loya might be a good guy but i dont think hes a good coach.

i have talked to recent NS grads and they all state that loya has no idea what he is doing. They also said that he doesn't teach them anything. so i agree in saying that the kids coach themselves, i couldn't image how good NS could be with an actual coach because they have a lot of talent!

say_oww wrote:Hey Loya works just as hard as Fyock! I mean he holds practices every day of the week. Even on Christmas and during the Super Bowl. Now that is dedication!
He is breaking PIAA rules then. In a week, teams are only allowed to hold practices and/or play games on 6 of the 7 days.

Prince Sidewinder I hope you are right. But for now they need to take care of business in the districts. I would like to see how they match up with teams coming out of the wpial. Its been a great season so far and a district title would be another feather in their cap.

Gibbons played aau also. So you guys are telling me that fyock taught gibbons nothing also, that ken learned it all on his own? I disagree with the fleegle statement! He had to learn something from the coach! People didn't even know who he was last year! And fleegle doesn't hit that many 3's and neither do any other n.s. players. Check shades players 3's vs the big 3 from north star, and also shades foul shooting percentage vs them! North star is lucky shade had an off night. And fleegle doesn't play a man defense like walker does because gibbons ate fleegle up in the 1st half and walker shut down gibbons in the 2nd half. Smith had open shots on both all night, but just couldn't hit the broad side of a barn that night! He bounced back for his team in his last twoo games with 16 in a half only and 31 and 4 threes against rockwood. Good players bounce back, and he did convincingly again. If we played n.s again smith hits his average 21 shade wins. Oh well everyone has a bad game and everyone gets lucky. Still congrats to n.s, they still did what they had to do to win.

Tuffnuts I'm not sure you are ready to concede the victory to NS last week. I think we can agree that if NS and Shade played each other 10 times they would split. Why do you find a need to attack players? While many other posters have asked you to enjoy the season you continue to hack away at players and coaches. Relax. Shade needs to and will win tomorrow. Put your focus on tomorrow.

Carom the coward, why do you continue to hack on a player to better your boys you like. Why do you all cut down loya? Loya won you guys a championship with great coaching in that game. You all say it is the players and young fleegle who coach that team. Why did loya and fleegle have it out after that one game? It sounds to me that loya showed he is the coach from what I heard! Loya took a young team and won. That is what good coaches do. Loya has been around basketball longer than any of us, and his son is taking over learning from his dad. To win the north section, I take my hat of to loya and the n.s. coaching staff and helpers along with the players. To win that section speaks volumes for your organization, especially playing with almost all underclassmen! He will have that team making noise for years to come. Congrats to n.s. and coaches.

Tuffnuts, I haven't heard from you in a while and this is what you come up with. I am defenseless against your all knowing, all seeing powers. I raise the white flag to your incessant rants that only go to show your lack of knowledge and lack of humility. While Smith had trouble with scoring last night and he did play good defense. They will need him on the offensive end to get to the championship.
