alltime list for PA RB's
Re: alltime list for PA RB's
jason burkhart did rush for 405 in 1991against Penns manor, and he was outstanding. he just didn't have the carries or the total career yards anywhere near these other guys being mentioned.

Re: alltime list for PA RB's
Charlie Banks from Meyersdale had 4,835 in his career which is remarkable considering he played in the early 60's. That is still the Somerset county record.

Re: alltime list for PA RB's
Wherever Jesse Jones ends up on the list (whenever someone finds it), what he did is really amazing when you consider, yes he did play in 12-15 games a year but you can also cut that number in half because he rarely played more than 2 quarters a game, and he did it with Brandon Hoover and Jarod Anderson at QB during his time( 2 of Tyrones' top 4 passers) and John doesn't throw with a big lead so most of their yardage came in the 1st halves of those games.

That list is outdated, must be after the 2008 season. Young has the most with 9027 yards. He is top ten in the nation all time

Re: alltime list for PA RB's
That was my concern my resource guide stops at 2008. Sorry, but it at least gives you a pretty good idea. WPIAL let me make a couple calls and see if they still make this guide and I will get you the information.

Re: alltime list for PA RB's
There is an asterisk
by his name in the guide which denotes he still had another season of high school football.
