Actually some guys are named Kim. I'd hate my parents if they did that to me....
What is Nick's 40 time?

Bison, your thoughts are kind of "wishes". Most D1 scholarship athletes were far and away the best athletes on their highschool squads, and usually the best in the area. They almost all have a great quality in speed, size, quickness, or strength. If they weren't the best, they were on a AAAA team and they were 2nd best. My point is, there's not luck behind recruiting. Too many people think they just give any kid a chance. There are reasons why every kid on a team is there. To say a bunch of kids from our area could play D1 is a hoax. Anyone COULD PLAY D1, but who will? Probably 1 or less of them. and out of that small amount, fewer will ever see the field. I know we all like to say how competitive D6 is, but when it comes to D1a football recruiting, we are far from it. For every name you give of a kid who went, tons more did not. There's no shame in that, but accept it. That's why I believe the LHAC saw an uncanny amount of talent with Reed, Jones, Wadley, the Cruz's, Lewis, LaRod, Greene, Istanich, etc. All played around the same time, and we likely won't ever see that run of athletes again with enrollments dwindling.
As for Nick, I see him fitting in perfectly at a PSAC school, or a SFU or RMU.

Lakersfan, those aren't my "wishes". I never said that you don't have to be a good football player to go D1. It goes without being said that most D1 football players were among the best in high school on their team and in the area. I also didn't say that just give anybody a chance. Recruiters study tape, attend game, make phone calls, etc. I do know a little about the recruiting process.
I take it you didn't play D1 football? You would be surprised how many players from our area could walk onto a Division 1 program and see playing time.
And aren't SFU and RMU D1????
Does anybody know his 40 yd time?

For the 100th time, please don't categorize NEC schools as Division I. Thank You.

I would be surprised? No I wouldn't. Not sure what D1 programs you've been around, but you don't just "walk-on" to a D1 program these days. Even walk ons are recruited as prefered's. Your comment that I would be surprised at how many kids from this area that could walk on to a D1 program and see playing time is ridiculous. Your ignorance on the topic is shining brightly

Fine. You are right I am wrong. You know a lot more than me on the subject and I will refrain from voicing any opinions I might have from here on out. Thanks.

Pitt and Penn State. Lakers what does it mean when they invite recruits to watch games?
