Reggie's Back
Re: Reggie's Back
Yes, did see who the coaches are. Nice some people could talk them into applying. Also helps that nobody else applied.
Re: Reggie's Back
And I agree there will be a difference in very first practice. That would have been the case no matter who was hired.

Re: Reggie's Back
CHSincove......couldn't agree more !!! Any change was better than what Central had. For years, talented athletes did not even play basketball due to who was coaching. The past few years have seen talent drop off, lack of participation, horrible communications from the coaches, and no positive attributes. Coach Nevins will bring enthusiasm and will play the best talent, regardless of name or grade. Let's hope he brings in an experienced staff and gets this program back to where it belongs. The assistant the past few years was not mentored very well and has shown very limited talent coaching during games. If he stays on as assistant, he will definately learn from Coach Nevins, unless he just can't coach which some people can't. Coach Nevins also has to bring in a good junior high staff. The junior high won about 80-85% of their games the last few years with Nevins and Lafferty. Maybe Coach Lafferty will take over the junior high as I saw kids respond well to him the last few years. He has a boy that will be playing high school this year so maybe that isn't a possibility. The elementary program also needs some supervision as it has been ignored for many years uner the last regime. Let the elementary kids get to know the jr, high and high school coaches and players so that they will be excited and continue to work on becoming good players for the future. The junior high group should be pretty talented this year, so let's hope they get proper coaching to continue success.

Best excuse ever for "athletes" looking for an out... They don't like the coach.

Reggie-ball is back and as a former player of his I'm glad to see it! The program has become irrelevant come playoff time for far too long!
You play to win the game!!!

It's early, but so far, Reggie has done what I thought he'd do.

After looking over their roster, a 4-0 start is impressive. I couldn't believe how SHORT their guys are. They'll have their work cut out for then when they face some talented big men.

Dont get me wrong. I would like to see central succeed, but so far they beat a JValley team that is down, a WB team that is missing a good starter, a not so talented CK team and a Clearfield team that is shorter than them. GO -Dragons...i hope
