Correct! Which makes the Richland picks that much more impressive. If the Heritage, Westpac, etc.... coaches aren't mentioning the Richland players, ALL or MOST of the Laurel Highlands Head Coaches must have thought they were pretty special.

Turning the ball over five times isn't exactly dominanting either. Trust me, I was there. I knew the stats. At no point during the game did I think Richland was dominanting. The second half they changed schemes entirely and lined up two fullbacks, and went at them. The usual Richland offense scored 0 points in the first half, they adjusted and it paid off. But Richland is a very good team. I got to see them live 6 times. They will only get 3-4 Lantzy kids, and realistically they wouldn't deserve much more. They were a junior dominated team.

Limit is 4 players from a single team.

Re: Ken Lantzy 2013
Ok this started as a Ken Lantzy thing. The Richland vs. McCort game is irrelevant. My fault for bringing it up and/or thinking a McCort fan would admit to being dominated.
I did some research, and found from some coaching friends that Husker is right, 4 is the limit for a team. One exception, the Head Coach of each team MAY choose a 5th player from his team.
Richland did have a nice crop of juniors. This may make Crimson correct in assuming 3-4 Richland players will be on Lantzy roster. If Bailey accepts to be Head Coach, don't be surprised if there are 5.

I thought it was 3 and the head coach gets to pick a fourth kid....
Re: Ken Lantzy 2013
Not sure he can be the head again because he was the south head coach last year. Again I'm not sure he can do it back to back years

I'm more inclined to agree with costanza, 3 picks per team, unless youre the head coach, then you can pick a 4th. Unless rules recently changed.
It ain't over until it's over.

I know I get the McCort homer call a lot, which really doesn't bother me. Thats not really the point. But dude, were you even at the game? I'm sorry, I just like to argue about sports, It is in my nature. I just think the word dominated and three point game doesn't really go together. This years south squad will be coached by Doug Paul out of Berlin. Coach Paul will have a bunch of great skill players to run his offense. Running backs/Slots---gotfelty-berlin,medva-shade,torrance-ligioner,sheesly-blacklick,iesenhoth-ferndale,stassier-north star

Re: Ken Lantzy 2013
Ok, I do not relish arguing about football. It seems rather pointless to say this team is better than that team as it is readily apparent when they play. But, I do like football facts, so here are some about the Richland-McCort game that need to be clarified.
The final score was 17-10 making it a 7 point win, not a 3 or 4 point one as previously stated.
Whether any one team was dominant is subjective. Richland had 2 interceptions and 3 lost fumbles. They were fortunate to win with those turnovers. Were the turnovers the result of a good defensive effort and plan by BM? Who knows, probably. But the last drive of the game was the most telling, to me anyways. Richland got the ball with less than a minute and drove the length of the field to win. At least on that drive, there was no question who the most dominant team was.
Here are the games scores as entered at Maxpreps:
