PITT
Re: PITT
...1) Tennessee, a real college, was not bowl eligible this past season.
...2) Guess that Tyler Boyd didn't buy into the old "playing in front of 100,000 fans is more awesome than going to a bowl game" like other PSU recruits did.
...3 Guess that 5 star offensive lineman didn't either.
...4) So you believe that Pitt's recruiting class is good only because of quantity??? Still considered good though, isn't it??
...5) So Pitt only has 8 ranked recruits? How many starters actually come out of each recruiting class, 8-10???
...6) Pitt has definitely fallen behind in number of "run-ons" compared to Penn State.
...7) At least 3 of those 4 (top 5 at their positions) PSU recruits were going to Penn State IRREGARDLESS of who the head coach was. So this was not a coup for BO'B.

Re: PITT
And I thought PSU did a good job given the circumstances. I don't think they will have a class like that next year. They had some loyal kids, in a era where kids aren't particulay loyal. Hackenberg and the Tight End (forget his name) held it together, if they bolted.....it could have been real ugly.

Gateway kid. Four star caliber. Michigan and Ohio State pressing him hard. I never had a good feeling he would go to Pitt, but he might. 6-2 200 4.5-4.6 speed. He will play Safety in college.

I would love to see this kid sign with Pitt, but if he doesn't really want to be there he should move on.

Re: PITT
Verbals are idiotic. I never trust a kid to sign until LOI day. Too many coaches, fans, friends, and family in their heads. It's gotten to the point where you have grown adults on twitter trying to tell an 17 yr old kid where to go to school. I think they should put in a bylaw that says if you want to commit you can sign early.

Re: PITT
All 27 Pitt recruits, signed their letter of intent, including Tyler Boyd. Very solid class by Chryst, not stellar, but top half of the ACC for sure. Top 30 nationally, can't complain. I think next year he can do even better.
