I saw final score was 2-1, TB ... remind me again what that means? I assume they were tied after 3 2-minute periods ... then what?

So Odoyel or Rspring- Do either of you know if the team point deduction from CC really hurt them or did CR have them on tie breaker anyway?

CC surprised me. I thought CR would get through that one a little easier.

But to reel off 3 straight wins to get into the 3/4 place match is really hard to do. CR coaches and wrestlers should be proud. Represented this area very well on and off the mat!!!

In the event of a tie score at the end of a dual meet

the following tie-breaker rules will be used:

I think that this chart is accurate and CR/CC would have been tied through step 5.

1. Least number of team points deducted for flagrant or unsportsmanlike conduct.
2. Greater number of matches won.
3. Greater number of points for fall, defaults, forfeits or disqualifications.
4. Greater number of points for technical falls.
5. Greater number of points for major decisions.
6. Greater number of first points scored.
7. Greater number of points for near-falls.
8. Greater number of takedowns.
9. Greater number of reversals.
10. Greater number of escapes.
11. Fewer penalties for stalling.
12. Fewer stall warnings.
13. Fewer number of points for other infractions.
14. Flip of a disk.

How bad would it be to lose on a FLIP OF THE DISC! Don't ya think if you are even on everything all the way down to the same number of stall warnings, we should just call it a tie and move on? Of course in a tournament format you can't do that, but geesh.

Ridge would have won on criteria 5 (most majors ridge had 2 cc had 1)

bcor, Buttry and Shiber tied 1-1 at end of regulation. After 1st tie breaker (1 min) still tied, then if I remember correctly Buttry was down for first 30 sec. period and did not get out, Shiber down second 30 sec. period and escaped, Buttry could not take him down Shiber won 2-1.

Sorry odoyelrules, rechecked my book they would have been tied through C5. I think Ridge wins on C6. Coach had wrestlers defer choice after first tied 0-0 & Ridge would take down usually score first.

By my calculations, Ridge would have won on most first points scored. I confimed this with both books. 7-7 in bouts, two pins and one major each.

Did you get a feel for Buttry's chances if they meet again? ie. was he doing as good as he could to be so close ... or was he on the cusp of getting a takedown ... or ???

And how about in the match vs Ft Lebeouf? ie. how bad did he look losing by fall to an unranked opponent? Was he hurt at all? Tired?

I'm rooting for this experience to be good for Austin in the upcoming individual district and regional meets!
