Tyler Boyd
My guess is Narduzzi will make the tough call just to let the players know he isn't messing around and that there is a new sheriff in town. I'd say he gets 1 game.
You play to win the game!!!
Re: Tyler Boyd
I thought the Paterno justice system also included the old "Hey, nobody got hurt" philosophy.
Re: Tyler Boyd
So good to see Mr./Mrs. Cranky Pants are back. Hope we can recycle all those clever comebacks.
I hope for TB's sake he gets a break. Also hopes he politely tells his mom to shut it.

Re: Tyler Boyd
Actually, Nit fans should be hoping Boyd gets off light. If his punishment is severe, and he has a below par year, he may be playing against the Nits in 2016 instead of in the NFL.
Re: Tyler Boyd
It would be premature to decide what a "fair" punishment might be before the BAC results come in. If it is indeed very low, such as a .02, I can't see how you can justify a 4 game suspension or loss of scholarship for a first time offender. Should be put him in the stocks at the town center while we are at it?
Re: Tyler Boyd
konjo will like this. Just released, University of Indiana DB Antonio Allen was arrested Tuesday Night on drug charges, including heroin, cocaine and meth, as well as several possession charges. IU announced that Allen is immediately suspended from ALL team activities. The list of charges includes dealing in a narcotic drug, dealing in meth and meth manufacturing, dealing in cocaine, and dealing in heroin with possession of a firearm. He is currently being held in jail on $75,000 bond. You see, there ARE differences in penalties for different offenses.
Re: Tyler Boyd
My guess is he will play in but not start the season opener.
Re: Tyler Boyd
I would love for Tyler Boyd to stay and play PSU in 2016. Unlike Pitt fans, Penn State embrasses Pitt having a relavent program. If Penn State can't beat a Pitt team with Tyler Boyd then they probably aren't going to make too much of a splash in the B1G anyways.
Also, most PSU fans are sticking up for the kid but someone this relates to how Penn State managed personnel discipline 10 years ago.
Don't suspend him, let him play. Konjo having a few shots at 20 years old doesn't put someone on the path to be a serial killer.

But driving while drunk is serious... if he got into a wreck instead of being pulled over he'd be looking at putting time in prison.... Maybe I'm the only one to make this connection

Re: Tyler Boyd
Yes driving drunk is extremely serious. I think just about everyone has been somehow negatively impacted by drunk driving. There is a reason the legal limit is .08. That is when alcohol starts to mess with your reactions, vision, and focus. The effect of alcohol at .02 is your body slightly warms up and your muscles relax. There is a huge difference between being drunk/buzzed and having a drink or two.konjo78 wrote:But driving while drunk is serious... if he got into a wreck instead of being pulled over he'd be looking at putting time in prison....
